All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting

How
much do you love and read the Bible? The book of Timothy tells us something
about it.

All
scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
and training in the righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.
5
In
the Bible, there were many people who loved and followed the word of God.
Today, we will trace them so that we can meaningfully love the word of God.
6
Let¡¯
us look at Timothy first. Timothy studied hard the word of God since he was
young. His grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice taught him the word of God.
He learned sincerely.
7
He
became a young man and many people praise him because Timothy loved the word
of
God and followed it sincerely.
8
When
a great missionary, Apostle Paul, came to Lystra, Timothy was able to meet
Paul. And Paul wanted to start ministry with him. Timothy was blessed
to become involved in the Apostle¡¯s mission work.
9
Second,
there was Apollos who loved the word of God so much. Apollos was highly
educated. He especially studied much of the Bible so he was so knowledgeable.
10
However,
he was a humble man. Priscilla and Aquila who made a tent for Paul taught
Timothy about Jesus, He was not only full of knowledge of the Bible but also
eager to learn from others.
11
As
he gained more knowledge about Jesus, he shared the word of God in the
synagogues. He always won over the Jews who disturbed his ministry. So
wherever Apollos went, many people came to believe Jesus.
12
Apollos
also involved himself in mission work with Paul. After Paul¡¯s evangelization,
Apollos taught them the word of God and assisted them to grow in faith as
children of God.
13
One
time in the Bible, 12-year old Jesus went to the temple with his parents.
When his parents were returning to their home, they found out that Jesus was
not with them. So they looked for Jesus for three days. Finally they found
Jesus in the temple court finally.
14
At
that time, Jesus was discussing with the teachers, He was listening and
asking them about the scripture. The young Jesus was answering all the
questions from the teachers so they were amazed.
15
it is written in the book of Hebrews
4:12 that, ¡°For
the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the
thoughts and attitudes of the heart.¡±
16
Therefore,
beginning today we have to try our best to learn the word of God as Timothy,
Apollos and Jesus did. God will bless and raise those who love and follow His
words.
