Let
the Spirit stay in your mind
2
Then it goes and takes seven
other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the
final condition of that person is worse than the first.¡± [NIV] Luke 11:26
3
Jesus was teaching all the people gathered God¡¯s word. People
gathered in order to listen to Jesus¡¯ words.
4
There came a demon-possessed man. He had been bothered by an evil
spirit so that he couldn¡¯t speak; he was mute.
5
Jesus commanded the evil spirit wherein the man. ¡°You, demon that
made this man mute, come out of him.¡±
6
As soon as Jesus commanded, a hidden evil spirit, that made the
man deaf-mute, went out of him. From that moment, the man began to say. ¡°Oh,
Lord, thank my Lord. I really thank you for healing me.¡±
7
People were so surprised at what they saw from this scene. None of
them had ever seen such a strong power. Even still others who were there,
started to accuse Jesus as being from the devil.
8
¡°No wonder that man named Jesus cast out demons that made the man
mute. He must be getting his power from Satan.¡± People there, started to
think and say to others that Jesus had cast out demons by the power of
Beelzebub, the king of the devils, not from the Almighty God.
9
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, ¡°Beelzebub belongs to
Satan. If Satan would have cast out Satan, he would then have been divided
and have fought against himself and that would make his kingdom not survive.
Then, what you have said must be wrong.¡±
10
With Satan¡¯s rule in their minds, people said negative things
about Jesus and against Him, and they denied God¡¯s power shown by Jesus and
tried to interrupt Jesus¡¯ works.
11
Jesus taught them in parables how wrong their minds could get.
12
Satan made an unclean spirit stay in our mind and tried to keep it
safe. He had a strong power so that people acted badly and said wrong according
to the unclean spirit. People have lived and have been trapped under Satan¡¯s
power.
13
The unclean spirit ruled and acted as a king in men¡¯s minds. But
there is a much stronger spirit that can come into men¡¯s minds.
14
This Spirit is the very our Savior, Jesus. Jesus¡¯ coming, the
unclean spirit could control itself no longer. Jesus cleaned men¡¯s minds and
let the Holy Spirit stay there. While Jesus stays in men¡¯s minds, the unclean
spirit can never come back in there.
15
The unclean spirit that had been cast out by Jesus looked for a
new nest around here and there, but he could not find a profitable place. So
he decided to return to where he came out from.
16
When the unclean spirit returned to the place that he had lived,
it was cleaned up but there was not the Spirit that had casted him out. The
person did not like that the Holy Spirit would stay with him always. So, at
that time, he was far away from the Spirit.
17
The unclean spirit was so glad. He went out and picked up some who
were seven more evil spirits than himself. ¡°Hey, the place where I had stayed
was cleaned and I could not see the strong Spirit who had casted me out. Come
with me. Go to the clean place and we can do with that person as we want.¡±
18
The person did not have the Spirit in his mind so he did not have
enough power to defend against the unclean spirits. Jesus said, ¡°His mind got
much worse than before and he lived as he and Satan wanted so he ended up
worst than the last.¡±
19
We can only go to heaven by believing in Jesus. But after
believing Jesus, we must live as the Spirit leads so that we can live a
joyful and beautiful life. Whereas, if we live following our own will not God¡¯s,
then it will be as if we pass our mind to the demons.
20
We can see some of our friends who have heard bad words for our
worse behaviors than unbelievers¡¯. For example, ¡°That boy is a believer. He
goes to church. He behaves like he is not a Christian.¡±
21
Dear faithful friends, if you want to be people who don¡¯t behave
rude against Jesus, you should receive Jesus and let Him teach and lead you
and secure you against the attacks of the devil. When the Holy Spirit dwells
in us, we cannot say bad sayings nor do bad actions that Jesus hates. Therefore,
we have to pray that the Spirit would not leave from our minds and be the
believers who act out His words faithfully.
