Jesus
taken up to Heaven
|
2
|
|
But you will receive power when the
Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.¡± After he said this, he
was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
[NIV]

Jesus died to
take the punishment for our sin.
After then, He
resurrected.
From His death
of the cross to resurrection is to show us that He is our Savior.
|
4
|
|
After Jesus¡¯
resurrection, He had lived 40 days on this earth
and appeared to
various people in His resurrected body.
|
5
|
|
Jesus appeared
to two followers on the road to a village called Emmaus, who did not believe
the resurrection of Jesus at the sight of His death on the cross. Jesus¡¯
appearance had them return to Jerusalem and become witnesses for Jesus¡¯
resurrection.
|

|
|
There was a
disciple in doubt though he heard from disciples who had seen Jesus¡¯
resurrection. ¡°What are you saying? Did Jesus resurrect? Unless I see the nail
marks in his hands and put my finger in the nails holes, and stick my hand in
his side, I will not believe it.¡±
|

|
|
Resurrected
Jesus appeared to Thomas in doubt.
And He showed
Thomas His nail marks and His side and said,
¡°Put your
finger here and look at my hands.
Take your hand and stick it in my side.
Don¡¯t be faithless any longer. Believe.¡±
|
8
|
|
Thomas bowed
before Jesus¡¯ feet and confessed Him,
¡°My Lord and my God!¡±
Jesus¡¯
appearance made Thomas in doubt to become a man
who believed the
resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus paid a
visit to Peter who denied three times saying that he did not know Jesus.
At that night
Jesus was taken by Roman soldiers, Peter betrayed Jesus with saying against a
girl who told him a disciple of Jesus three times that he did not know Jesus.
|
10
|
|
In spite of his
betraying three times, Jesus forgave him asking Peter three times whether he
loved Him.
Peter was
changed into a great apostle to convey Gospel of Jesus
by the power of
Jesus¡¯ love.
|
11
|
|
The resurrected
Jesus met lots of people on this earth
and preached the
Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.
It almost ended
the forty days on this earth after His resurrection.
|
12
|
|
Jesus went up to
the Mount of Olives with disciples.
And He said to
disciples who gathered up and asked the first favor of them.
¡°Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait on the Holy Spirit
who I will send you.¡±
|
13
|
|
Then He asked
the second very important favor of them.
¡°When the
Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be my witnesses
who convey my gospel that I convey you from Jerusalem,
throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.¡±
|
14
|
|
After he said
this, His body was taken up before their very eyes and a cloud hid him
from their
sight. Jesus had rise into Heaven.
|
15
|
|
The disciples
stood just looking up into the sky as he was going.
At that time two
angels stood beside them and said,
¡°Why are
you staring into sky?
Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven,
will
come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.¡±

After three days
Jesus died to the cross, He resurrected and lived on the earth for forty days
and comforted many people and bolstered their courage. Jesus rose up eternal
Heaven where God is. There Jesus will prepare houses we will live and will
pray for us not to sink into evil things but to overcome evil. Be the
faithful persons who live as Jesus¡¯ words with thankfulness for Jesus¡¯ love.
