God Listens to our Prayers

2

And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? (Luke 18:7)

3

There was a bad judge in a town.

4

The judge was very arrogant. He was not interested in doing what was right.
He judged to get his own way.
He did not want to listen to anything that the people would say to him.

5

Because this judge did wrong, there were many people who were treated unjustly.

The townspeople hated the judge very much.

6

There was a widow in the town where the judge lived.
A person extorted things from the widow, he acted as an enemy of hers, since she lived without her husband.

7

The widow came to the judge because she had been treated unfairly.
She explained her situation,
"Sir, this is a very evil person. Please punish him."

8

But the judge did not listen carefully to what she had to say.

He did not care about her words and he didn't do anything.

9

She did not give up and went to him the next day.

"Grant me justice against my adversary." He also refused.

10

The woman went to the judge every day.
She never gave up her will and told him insistently.
Whenever, she met the judge, she spoke loudly.

11

This widow kept bothering him.
He could not stand when she came and told him the same request everyday.
So he could not pretend not to listen to her anymore.

12

Finally, he granted her wish.
"Oh, okay. I will listen to you. Please do not wear me out anymore.
I don't fear God, but I am so tired of you, so I will grant your request."

13

The judge took the person who had harassed her and punished him.
Because she kept coming to him and bothering him, the judge avenged her adversary. She was so glad.

14

Jesus said, "This bad and evil judge listened to her when she came to him and wore him out everyday. God, who loves you, is a good God who will listen to your prayers when you pray.
So do not give up and feel free to ask Him anything in prayer."

15

Even though you are young, as believers in God, we should pray to God who is the master of the world when you face bad things.
Also, you should pray about the poor children to God and ask Him to help them.

16

We have to pray to God when we get into any kind of trouble.
God is so good that we will have to pray continually until the problems are resolved like the woman.

17

From now on, all of you should believe that God will be able to answer all of your prayers.
I hope that you will have great faith and become faithful children of God.
