Eutychus Raised From the Dead

2

(Acts 20: 9-10)

Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "He's alive!"

3

Paul went to many places to preach Jesus.
There was an incident when he went to
Macedonia.

4

In the evening service time, people believing in Jesus gathered to serve God.
They were servants or workers.

5

They gathered and served God.
Even though their lives were so hard, they were thankful that they could go to heaven, broke bread, and served God together.

6

Many people gathered to listen to God's word that Paul spoke in the upstairs room.

7

Among the crowd, there was a young man named Eutychus.
He had to sit in the window to listen to Paul's words because the room was so crowded.

8

Paul preached God's words with all his strength to the gathered people.
And the people asked Paul many curious questions.
They kept on talking until midnight.

9

Eutychus who was seated in a window listened to all of the discussions yet he started to sink into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on.

10

When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead.

11

The people were very surprised so they went down to the place where he fell.

12

Paul threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him.

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "He's alive!"

13

After saying that, there happened a miracle.
The dead young man revived as if nothing had happened.
The people began to praise the living God.

14

The people went upstairs again and broke bread and ate.

The people were greatly comforted by the reviving of Eutychus.

15

They served God until daylight and then Paul left.

16

The people who gathered to serve God experienced a miracle there.
They surely believed in God who is the master of our lives after seeing the revival of
Eutychus.

17

God solves difficult problems of people who serve God sincerely.
Therefore we should attend service every Sunday not only in serving God but also in following God's words in our lives.
