Do
not Worry about Anything
2
[Matthew 6: 33]
But
seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be
given to you as well.
3
As always many people
gathered to listen to Jesus.
Jesus knew the people gathered there had many worries in their hearts.
4
Every person worried
about what to eat and how to live.
Some people worried about what to wear.
Many people who believe in Jesus today also worry about these things.
5
But Jesus says to the
children of God to not worry.
"So I say to you people. Do not worry about what you will eat or drink
in your lives. Even do not worry about what you will wear."
6
Jesus tells us not to
worry has a reason.
Jesus explained each verb one by one.
7
Jesus said while
looking at the bird flying in the sky. "Look at that bird. Birds don't
plan seeds nor harvest them neither do they not store in their warehouses. But
the GOD in heaven feeds them every day so the birds don't starve. Do you
think God who values us more than the birds will not provide food for us?
8
God provides food not
only for the birds but for all the living things in this world. Jesus was
saying it is wrong to worry about what to eat when God thinks of us as His
own children.
9
Jesus tells us how
useless it is to worry. "Even if you worry a lot, can a dying person's
life be extended?" He was saying to us not to worry about things because
that is useless and also harmful for our bodies when we worry.
10
Jesus also said to
the people who worried about what to wear.
"Look at the lily you are holding. The lily doesn't work. They do not
work for their clothes. But look at how beautiful they are. Even the clothes
of Solomon is not better than this."
11
If that is how God
clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown
into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
12
What do you think the
children of Jesus will eat?
What will we wear? We do not need to waste our time worrying about these
things. Because our Father God knows what we need.
13
Then what should we
do? Jesus told us, the children of God, what to do.
" First, ask for what God wants. Then everything will come
together."
14
Children of God like
us should follow the law in heaven.
Whatever we do we need to follow the commands in the Bible.
We should always do what God will like.
15
Jesus was telling us
if we live our lives worthy as children of God, He will provide everything
for us.
16
Living as children of
God is not that difficult. Jesus already told us what to do to be the
children of God. First, we should love God with all of our hearts and our
lives. Second, we should love our neighbors as ourselves.
17
Starting today I hope
that we, the children of God, will not live with worries.
Whatever we do we should think what will make God happy and act upon those
things.
