God Received Only Abel's Offering

2

[Genesis 4:4-5]

But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

3

The first mankind on Earth were Adam and Eve who lived in Eden the paradise God had made. However, Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden because they broke their promise with God because of Satan`s plot.

4

Adam and Eve lived in another place after they were expelled from the garden.
God gave children to Adam and Eve.

5

The two sons Adam and Eve had were Cain and Abel.
Adam and Eve were so happy to see their children.

6

The first son Cain grew up to be a farmer.
And his brother Abel became a shepherd.

7

The older brother Cain did not like to lose to his younger brother Abel.
Whatever they did Cain always wanted to be acknowledged more than Abel.

8

Today is a special day to sacrifice to God.
Cain and Abel prepared to make the offering to God.

9

The older brother Cain offered some crops that he had grown on his farm.
However God did not accept Cain`s offerings. Cain was so disappointed.

10

The younger brother Abel also made an offering. Abel offered the most precious and spotless sheep to God. God accepted Abel`s offering happily.

11

Abel was so happy.
He felt so thankful that God accepted his offering.

12

Both Cain and Abel gave offerings to God.
However God did not receive Cain`s offerings but only Abel`s.

13

In Hebrew Chapter 11 verse 4 says about Abel`s offering. " Abel offered to God with faith. God accepted Abel`s offerings happily; and called him a righteous person."
Abel believed in God that He knows everything and sees everything.

14

Cain seemed to offer by faith but he did not believe in God truly.
God knew there was no faith in Cain`s heart, so He did not accept Cain`s offerings.

15

Now a days we do not have to make offerings like Cain and Abel had to do.
However now a days we worship God at church.
Every thing we do at church is the same as giving offerings to God.

16

Jesus defined the mind of worship like the way Abel did.
"Because God is a spirit those who worship God should worship in spirit and in truth. God demands those kind of people."

17

A worship like Abel's is a worship that believes that God is with us while we worship Him.
I hope all of you dear friends here will worship God like Abel.
