Go
into the Narrow Door
2
[Luke
13:24]
"Make
every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will
try to enter and will not be able to."

Jesus
was in this world and Jesus told the words of God to many people. Jesus went
here and there and told about heaven. The Israelites listened to Jesus but
they did not believe that Jesus truly is the Son of God.
4
Jesus
told them that they should believe Jesus as their Savior to go to heaven but
they did not believe in Jesus. They did not believe in Jesus because they had
the wrong thinking about salvation. They thought they could go to heaven
because their ancestor was Abraham.
5
One
person listened to Jesus and asked Jesus. "Jesus, then only some people
will go to heaven?" They really wanted to know about it.
6
Jesus
looked at the people and said. "People, try hard to pass through the
narrow door. Then you can go to heaven. People always like doing the things
they want and they like to live the easy way. People like to go to the wide
and easy ways. But if you will go to that way, you will fall down in the
end."
7
"The
door going to the way of life is narrow so only few people go that way. But
you should go that way to enter heaven and to live forever. Many people will
try to enter heaven but if they will not go to the narrow door, they can
never go to heaven."
8
The
narrow door is Jesus, Himself. At their time, if someone believed in Jesus,
that someone should be ready to have many hard problems. The leaders of their
time did not believe that Jesus would save them.
9
"On
the last day, all the people who went to the narrow door will be saved and
they will go to heaven. After they enter heaven, the owner of heaven will close
the door."
10
"After
the door is closed, you will come and knock on the door. 'LORD, please open
the door.' 'LORD, please open the door.'"
11
"Then
the owner will say. People, I really don't know you. Who are you? Where are
you from?"
12
"Then,
you will say. 'We ate the bread you gave and we listened to you when you were
teaching.' But the owner will say. I don't where you came from. You people
are so evil! I don't know you so go away."
13
"I
know you admire Abraham, Isaac and Jacob so much. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and
all the other prophets will be in heaven but you are sent out so you will cry
sadly and you will grind your teeth. "
14
"I
know you look down on the foreigners. But you will see the foreigners
entering heaven and you will see them having a feast with God."
15
Jesus
is saying that not only Israelites will go to heaven.
Jesus was explaining to them that all the people in this world who believe in
Jesus will be able to go to heaven.
16
Those
people who don't believe in Jesus can do anything they want. To do anything
we want is as easy as going into the large door. But in the end, they will go
to hell and they will be in torture in that place forever.
17
However,
we believe in Jesus so we will go into the narrow door and we will live in
heaven forever. So when we live in this world, we should live the life of the
narrow door. Worldly thinking only thinks about money and that our bodies are
our own but they are not ours alone. It is given by God so we cannot use them
without care. We should live for the things that can make God happy. That is
the life of the narrow door. Dear friends of faith you have become the
children of God because you have believed in Jesus. So try hard to live the
blessed life of going into the narrow door.
