Jesus Came to Earth as The Old Testament had Prophesied

2

[Isaiah 7:14]

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:

The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

3

Among billions of people living on earth 'Where he will be born, whom he will be born from, and he will grow up like this.' There is no one like this in this world.

4

However, Jesus Christ who came to this world to save us came to earth according to the many prophecies from the prophets in The Old Testament scriptures.

5

Because of Adam and Eve`s disobedience and sin that they committed the connection with God was cut off. So God made a grand plan to restore the relationship between God and humans by sending His Only Son to earth.

6

That plan was to send His Son Jesus Christ as a human the same as us to die for our sins, then He would be resurrected so everyone who believed in Him could have eternal life in heaven.

7

For this plan to succeed God used the prophets to tell the people about the plan.
What do you think the prophets told the people?

8

The first prophet was Isaiah. In the book of Isaiah chapter 7 verse 14 it says,"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."

9

After a few hundred years passed that prophecy was fulfilled by Mary.
Mary who was a virgin became pregnant with Jesus.
The prophecy of Isaiah made this happen.

10

Another prophet named Micah said, "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.¡±

11

The prophecy from Micah was also fulfilled.
At that time all of the Israelites were told to go back to their hometowns so they could do the census, so Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem.

12

Because Joseph and Mary could not find a place to spend the night in Bethlehem they had to stay at the stable where the horses stayed and Jesus Christ was born there.

13

Also, Jesus Christ's physical father was Joseph, a descendant of King David.
Because the prophet Isaiah had said that Jesus Christ would be born from King David`s descendant it was also fulfilled.

14

For a long time through different prophecies God sent the message to humans where, from whom, and what family the Messiah would come from. Every prophecy from the prophets in history told us that Jesus Christ who came from God is the True Messiah.

15

If you study the Bible and understand deeply you will notice that everything in the Bible focuses on Jesus who is the True Messiah. As the Bible says, Jesus was really sent from God. Also, Jesus Christ is God and only Jesus Christ can give salvation to us.

16

This Christmas is like when we celebrate and rejoice that Jesus came to earth as the prophecy had said that He would. However, some people still don't really know the true meaning of Christmas but instead they just enjoy with each other as if it's just a normal holiday.

17

We as believers in Jesus Christ have the great privilege of sharing the great gospel message with our family and friends this holiday season who still may not know the true meaning of Christmas. We must share with them of God's great grace, love, and kindness that He has bestowed on us through Christ coming down as a little baby and later to die for all mankind.
