God who made Matthias an apostle

2

[Acts 1:26]

Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

3

When Jesus was on earth, he called disciples of twelve men.

Let's read the names of the disciples. Peter, Andrew, James son of Zebedee, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus,

Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot.

4

Jesus always taught them for three years with twelve disciples.

There were 12 disciples, but some were with them.

They were with Jesus and heard and learned about the secrets of the kingdom of God.

5

Jesus accomplished all the things that came to this earth.

He was there on the earth forty days after his death and resurrection.

And Jesus went up to the kingdom of heaven in front of his disciples.

6

After Jesus went to heaven, Jesus 'disciples and saints came to pray together,

believing in Jesus' promise to send the Holy Spirit.

After Jesus went to heaven, people called a few people

who followed Jesus like a shadow to be apostles. However, there were only 11 apostles.

7

The disciples of Jesus who could not be together in that position were Judas Iscariot.

Judas Iscariot, who received thirty pieces of silver,

betrayed Jesus and made it to the chief priests.

He had a glorious position as a disciple of Jesus, but he changed money and his place.

8

The thirty silver that Judas has received is used to buy the field. But the field soon

became his grave. Judas Iscariot fell down from the field and died miserably.

So the name of this field was called ¡®Akeldama¡¯ in the sense of the ¡®field of blood¡¯.

9

Peter woke up and said to the people.

¡°It was true that the words of the Holy Spirit through David said

that Judas would be the informer of those who had captured Jesus.

Judas was originally an apostle of ours.¡±

10

¡°But he bought the field with the money he received for his unrighteous actions.

And as you well know, he fell away from the field.

Now we have to choose a man who will do this for Judah.¡±

11

All the people gathered there said that Peter was right.

So they decided to choose one apostle from among the gathered men,

in the place of Judas, until Jesus went to heaven.

12

People recommended two people. One of them was named Joseph.

Joseph was a man of various names, called Barsabbas(also known as Justus)

Another one is Matthias.

13

The apostles first prayed to God about the two people who were recommended to the people.

¡°Lord, the Lord knows the thoughts of all men. Which of these two did you choose?

Show us who is to be an apostle in the place of Judas who has forsaken his disciples.¡±

14

After the apostles finished praying, they began to draw lots.

God has graciously guided the apostles. They chose one of the two.

15

The one whom God chose through the apostles was Matthias. Matthias became a new apostle. As Matthias became an apostle, the number of apostles was 12.

Since that day, Matthias has done all things with the eleven Apostles.

16

Jesus gave a good position to Judas Iscariot. but he took that position lightly.

Judas Iscariot did not fulfill his responsibilities as a person in charge.

And Matthias was blessed to become an apostle instead of Judas Iscariot.

17

God chooses workers to work for the kingdom of God.

Depending on each person's ability, he or she will do various things.

No matter what God entrusts you,

you pray and you will help the Holy Spirit to take care of you.

We hope that you will appreciate what God has entrusted to you and

that you will be a good person of faith through the help of the Holy Spirit.
