Jesus working
for us

[Acts
1:11]
¡°Men of Galilee,¡± they said, ¡°why do you stand here looking into the
sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back
in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.¡±

By the
death of Jesus on the cross, all our sins were forgiven. Jesus victoriously
overcame Satan. He was resurrected three days after his death.
|
4
|
|
The
resurrected Jesus was on this earth for 40 days. He proved that he was
resurrected to many people for 40 days. Especially forgiveness of Peter and
his faith restored.
|
5
|
|
Forty days
later, Jesus went up to Mount Olivet with his disciples to go to heaven.
|
6
|
|
, Jesus
gave important orders and promises to his disciples before he left for
heaven. The command Jesus gave was to his disciples, ¡®Do not leave
Jerusalem.¡¯ The promise was that Jesus would go to heaven and ¡®send the Holy
Spirit to this earth.¡¯

|
|
Jesus told
them exactly what would happen if the Holy Spirit came to this land before he
went to heaven. ¡°But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on
you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.¡±(Acts 1:8)

|
After he
had said this, he went up to heaven in front of his disciples. Jesus was
getting far away from his disciples and disappeared into the clouds. It is
called "ascension" that he went to heaven. Jesus ascended to heaven
forty days after his resurrection.
|
9
|
|
After Jesus
ascended, his disciples were staring at the sky. Suddenly, two angels
appeared in front of their eyes in white clothes.
|
10
|
|
The angels
told the disciples one amazing secret. ¡°Why are you standing here and looking
up to heaven? Jesus will come back as you have seen it¡±
|
11
|
|
Jesus comes
back to this land and says "Second Advent." The disciples who had
heard the promise of Jesus' coming came down from Mount Olives to Jerusalem.
And according to the command of Jesus, they did not leave Jerusalem but
gathered in one of the upper chambers and prayed.
|
12
|
|
What is
Jesus doing now, who has ascended into heaven?
When Jesus
was on the earth, He told us.
¡°In my
Father's house are many mansions£º if it were not so, I would
have told you.
I go to
prepare a place for you.¡±(Jn 14:2)
The Bible
says that he is preparing an eternal house for us to go to.
|
13
|
|
Also, what
is Jesus doing in heaven? In the Romans, Jesus tells us to pray for us.
¡°Who then
is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died - more than that, who
was raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for
us¡±(Rm 8:34)
|
14
|
|
It is also
written in 1John that Jesus defends us before God for our sins.
¡°My dear
children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does
sin, we have an advocate with the Father - Jesus Christ, the Righteous
One.¡±(1Jn 2:1)
|
15
|
|
We, who
believe in Jesus and become children of God, can only defeat sin with the
help of the Holy Spirit. But there are many times when the tendency to sin in
us is revealed and fails. There are sins in sin that we do not know.
|
16
|
|
Jesus knows
how weak we are about sin. Because Jesus came directly to this earth with a
human body like ours. Therefore, Jesus tells God about our affairs instead
and defends it.
|
17
|
|
Jesus is
preparing the place for us to go after he ascended, petitioning for us, and
defending our sinfulness.
We must
remember that we are receiving every day the love of the amazing and great
Jesus. The way to repay the grace of Jesus is to live in thanksgiving for His
grace. We must live to do what Jesus pleases.
