Saul who has met Jesus and has been converted

2

[ Acts 9:15-16 ]

But the Lord said to Ananias, ¡°Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.¡±

Since the first church, Jerusalem, was founded, the first martyr is Stephen. Stephen was deceived by people when he preached the gospel and was martyred by the stone.

4

There was a man who was in the martyrdom of Stephen. This man was guarding the clothes he had entrusted to kill Stephen. This man's name is Saul.

5

Saul thought that Death of Stephen was deserved. He thought that those who believed in Jesus were a strange group that covered the glory of God. So he thought it was important for God to remove them.

6

Following his thoughts, Saul went to every house where there were people who believed in Jesus, and pulled them out randomly and put them in jail.

7

Saul thought that not only Jerusalem, but also believers who went to other areas should be killed. So he asked the high priest to write a letter to the synagogues in Damascus. It was to arrest those who believed in Jesus in Damascus to Jerusalem.

8

He ran to Damascus with the letter the High Priest wrote. When he came near Damascus, suddenly a strong and bright light from the sky shone on Saul. The light was so strong that Saul fell on the ground.

9

The voice of someone called ¡°Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?¡± Was clearly heard by Saul, who fell on the ground. Saul asked, ¡°Who are you?¡±

10

There was a voice in the sky. ¡°I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting, Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.¡± Jesus appeared directly to Saul in the light and met Saul.

11

Saul met Jesus on the road and realized that He was the true Messiah. But those who were with Saul stood awake, not seeing Jesus, and looking at his strange behaviors.

12

After Jesus left Saul rose from the earth. Saul could not see the way. He did not see anything. Saul grabbed the people's hand and entered the Straight Street of Damascus.

13

Saul could not see for three days and could not eat anything. After meeting Jesus, Saul was praying there for Jesus' guidance. There was a man who came to such a Saul. He was named ¡®Ananias¡¯ by Jesus himself.

14

Jesus told Ananias to go to Saul. He also told him what Saul was going to do in the future. Jesus told him, ¡°This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.¡±

15

Ananias approached Saul and laid his hands on him, preaching the words of Jesus. ¡°Brother Saul, the Lord - Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here - has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.¡± When this was finished, the scales from Saul's eyes were stripped and looked again.

16

Saul was fully recovered immediately and ate the food and became healthy. Saul met with others who believed in Jesus in Damascus. In addition, he began to tell about Jesus whom he met in Damascus's synagogue. Saul, who was saved by believing in Jesus, became a man of faith who preached that Jesus was the Son of God.

17

No matter how evil a person dislikes Jesus, Jesus can change it. We are already thankful that we have received the grace of salvation by faith in Jesus. And we must live with thanksgiving to Jesus who saved us.

It should also be a person who communicates to others that Jesus is the Son of God.
