Job that won the test of Satan

2

[ Job 1:21]

and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised."

3

There was a man called Job in the eastern province called 'Uz'. Job, a godly and honest man, was a righteous man who feared God and departed from evil.

4

Job was righteous and blessed with true faith in God. Job had seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred oxen, and five hundred female donkeys. There were also many who worked at Job's house.

5

God gave 10 children to Job. There were seven sons and three daughters. Job taught faithfully that children should not leave God. After their children's birthday, they built an altar and worshiped for the sins that they had ever made.

6

Job, who serves God well, was a man of great joy to God. But to Satan he was a very enemy.

7

One day Satan appeared where God was with the angels. God asked Satan, ¡°Where are you from?¡± Satan replied, ¡°I've been around all over the world.¡±

8

God told Satan about Job.

¡°Have you seen my servant Job carefully? There is no man in the world like him, who is blameless and honest, who fears God and hates evil.¡±

God praised Job very greatly. God knows everything how we serve God.

9

Satan who heard these words hated Job and said,

¡°Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.¡± <Job 1:9-11>

10

God allowed Satan to test Job's faith. "Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.¡± Satan, with God's permission, immediately began to test Job.

11

As usual, Job's children gathered at the eldest brother's house and had a good time together. Job also had a great joy to see his children living well together. Suddenly, a messenger of a sudden ran.

12

He said to Job, ¡°The cows are plowing, and the female donkeys are grazing by it. Then the men of the Sabeans came up and took the cows and cancer donkeys, and slaughtered their servants with the sword. I am alone in running away, and I tell my master this.¡±

13

But before the man's words were over, another messenger ran to Job and reported. ¡°Suddenly the fire fell from the sky and burned the sheep and the servants. I came to live alone and let my master know.¡± Job could not keep his mind up because of what happened next.

14

Before the end of this second messenger, another ran up and said,

¡°Master Chaldean people came in and robbed all the camels and killed all their servants with their swords. I have come to live alone and let my master know.¡±

15

But this was not the end. Another man ran before this third servant had finished speaking. ¡°Your children were eating food and wine at their eldest brother 's house. A great wind blew and the house collapsed and all ten your children died. I am only here to tell you this.¡±

16

Satan thinks that Job is God's blessing to serve God and has taken away all that Job has. All the misfortunes that humans can suffer are brought to Job on the same day. Now Job has become a man who has lost everything and has nothing.

17

In a great misfortune, Job tore his clothes and shaved his hair in the expression of sadness. Then he fell to the ground for God and confessed the following beliefs.

¡ºand said: ¡°Naked I came from my mother¡¯s womb, and naked I will depart.* The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.¡±¡» (Jb 1:21)

18

Satan robbed Job all that he had and gave him the greatest misfortune, but Job never left God. Even in great pain, Job truly exalted and praised God.

A child of God who believes in Jesus and is saved must not do anything to grudge God under any circumstances. Like Job, you must be a person who believes God to the end and worships him.
