[ Ephesians 6:14-17]
Stand
firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the
readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take
up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows
of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.

Apostle
Paul, who met Jesus on the way to Damascus and traveled through various
places throughout his life, preached. Paul established a church wherever he
went. And he preached the word of God in letters to the churches he built.

Today, we
will think about one part of the book of Ephesians that the Apostle Paul sent
to believers living in Ephesus.
5
Jesus died
on the cross to forgive my sins. Anyone who believes in Jesus who died on the
cross for me has a wonderful gift to enter eternal heaven.
6
From the
moment we become believers in Jesus, we become enemies with Satan. Satan
begins to tempt us to keep us from believing in Jesus. Satan attacks God's
children with various deceptions.
7
In
Ephesians, the secret to victory in the war with Satan does not fall. It is
to be fully armed with full armor.
¡°Put on the
full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil¡¯s
schemes.¡±(Eph 6:11)
8
The reason
why you need to be fully armed with this armor is to win the battle with
Satan. Our fight is not against men, but against dark forces and wicked
spirits in the air. This is what we call ¡°spiritual warfare.¡±
9
The first
piece of armor that we should have is the belt of truth. At the time this
statement was written, the soldier's belt was a belt that firmly supported
the waist and protected the belly. The belt of truth is ¡°belief,¡± who
believes that we are saved by believing in Jesus. You can wear this belt of
truth to exert power in the war against Satan.
10
Second,
armed with the breastplate of righteousness. This plate is a metal
breastplate that covers the chest and back. This is the act of what God
considers right in all things. Thinking how to act is what God wants and
means acting on God's will.
11
The third
is to wear shoes to share the gospel of peace. This means that wherever we
go, we must always be the ones who preach Jesus as our Savior.
12
Fourth, we
must have the shield of faith. The shields are made of multiple layers of
leather, making them impossible to penetrate any fiery arrows. Those who have
the shield of faith will block it with the shield of strong faith no matter
how strong Satan fires. This means that unwavering faith can stop all Satan's
temptations.
13
Fifthly,
the head was asked to wear the helmet of salvation. A helmet is a very
important tool for protecting your head. The helmets also looked different
from country to country so that you could quickly see which country they were
in. If you wear a strong army he could not easily attack.
14
To use this
helmet of salvation is to reveal that we are saved by believing in Jesus. It
shows that our captain is Jesus who overcame Satan. It means that you have
already become God's people who are guaranteed victory in that war.
15
Finally,
say to have the sword of the Spirit. In other words, have a sword from the
Holy Spirit. This means to be armed with the sword of the Spirit, the word of
God. Friends who believe in Jesus should read God's Word and immediately
realize it. and that means that we must have the ability to attack and
overcome Satan.
16
It takes a
lot of practice to handle a sword well. Likewise, in order to handle the
sword of the Holy Spirit well, we must focus on learning and mastering the
Word of God. That is why we can pierce Satan with the sword of the Word and
be sure.
17
We who
believe in Jesus and become children of God must have a spiritual war with
Satan all our lives. We must put on the whole armor of God in order to be
victorious soldiers in war. We must be armed with the whole armor of God and
not be defeated by Satan. May you be victorious in all your battles with Satan
and give glory to God.
