Miracles on Elizabeth and Mary

2

[ Luke 1:44]

As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

3

The coming of Jesus to this earth is called 'Christmas'. Jesus is the God who came into the human body to save mankind. The Bible proves that Jesus is the true Messiah.

4

The most representative evidence is that the words foretold through the prophet Isaiah 700 years before Jesus came true.

¡°Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.¡±(Isaiah 7:14)

5

God chose Mary, who lives in Nazareth, Galilee to fulfill this prophecy. God sent the angel Gabriel to tell Mary this fact. Mary, who met the angel, was very afraid and trembling.

6

Gabriel calmed Mary and gave her God's will.

¡°But the angel said to her, ¡°Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob¡¯s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.¡±¡±(Luke 1:30~33)

7

But Mary did not believe that she could conceive pregnant as a virgin.

¡°I am a virgin who doesn't know a man, how can this happen?¡±

Angel told Mary. ¡°The Holy Spirit will come down to you and the power of the Most High will surround you. The child born through you will be called the Holy One, the Son of God.¡±

8

The angel continued to speak.

¡°Your relative, Elizabeth, is old but pregnant. She thought she could not get pregnant because she was older, but she had been pregnant for six months. There is nothing God cannot do.¡±

9

After hearing these words, it was believed that Mary could conceive of herself pregnant as a virgin if God did it work. And she confessed, ¡°I am the servant of the Lord, and I will believe that it will be done to me according to your word.¡±

10

Elizabeth's husband, who informed the angel that she was pregnant six months ago, was the priest Zechariah. This couple lived truly righteous before God and were impeccable. After a long time of marriage, the two did not have a baby. The two became older couples without children.

11

One day, the angel Gabriel appeared when the priest Zechariah was burning incense in the temple to sacrifice to God. Gabriel foretold to Zachariah that Elizabeth would conceive pregnant a baby.

12

Elizabeth, who was too old to have a baby, became pregnant because of God's power. Almighty God has revealed His wonderful power by doing things that man could hardly do!

13

After knowing that Elizabeth was pregnant miraculously six months ago, Mary left to meet Elizabeth after the angel had left. Elizabeth's house was in the mountain valley.

14

Mary entered the house and greeted Elizabeth. When Mary was greeted, Elizabeth's pregnant baby ran in her belly. In the womb, a child expressed joy knowing that Jesus would come through Mary's body.

15

Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit and said aloud.

¡°In a loud voice she exclaimed: ¡°Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!¡±¡±(Luke 1:42~45)

The Holy Spirit testified of Jesus coming through the mouth of Elizabeth.

16

This child, whom Elizabeth was pregnant, was John the Baptist who later baptized Jesus. As Mary saw Elizabeth, she came to believe that God has nothing impossible. Mary was pregnant with the Holy Spirit and spent three months with Elizabeth.

17

It is true that Jesus came to earth through the body of Mary, a virgin, by the Holy Spirit. Those who accept this by faith are blessed people who have been greatly favored by God.

Christmas is a day to commemorate that Jesus, who came through Mary, came to earth as the Messiah.

All of you, I hope that to glorify Jesus who came to this earth to give us eternal life, and to be a people of faith who worship with all your heart and mind.
