Jesus who came to Christ

2

[ John 5:39 ]

¡°You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me¡±

3

Those who live on this earth are divided into two main categories. Those who accept Jesus as Christ and those who do not accept Jesus as Christ.

4

The word Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew Messiah. It means Jesus who is anointed. To accept Christ means to have faith in Jesus as the Savior who came to earth to save mankind.

5

Christmas is a day to commemorate Jesus' coming to earth as Christ.

Jesus was originally God, and he came down to earth to take a human body like us to save us.

6

God had a plan to save us from the day Adam and Eve sinned. In time, He sent His Son, Jesus, to Christ on earth. Salvation is given as a gift to those who believe that Jesus is the true Christ. However, many people do not accept Jesus as the Christ with various excuses.

7

The Old Testament records the Christ, the Messiah, who will come to save us. Today we want to feel the love and grace of Jesus who came to earth for us as we search the Old Testament which proves that Jesus is coming to earth as the true Christ.

8

God had a prophet called Isaiah 700 years before Jesus came to earth to tell people that Christ who would come to earth would come through the body of a virgin.

[Isaiah 7:14]

¡°Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.¡±

9

This prophecy comes true to a virgin Mary. The angel tells a virgin Mary that she will conceive a baby and give birth to a son. Mary, who hears this, says:

[Luke 1:34~35] ¡°"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.¡± Isaiah's prophecy came true.

10

God allowed the prophet Micah to foretell the place of Christ's birth.

[Micah 5:2] "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

11

This prophecy will come true. At the time of Mary's pregnancy, the emperor told the people to go home and do a census. Surprisingly, Joseph's hometown was Bethlehem. Joseph went to Bethlehem with Mary when she was about to give birth.

12

Joseph could not find a place to sleep. He couldn't help but rent a stable and have a baby there. This child was Jesus. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, proving that He is the Christ.

13

The Old Testament also foretold which family Christ would come from. God said through the seed of Abraham that all peoples of the world would be blessed. These words foretold the coming of Christ through Abraham's lineage.

[Genesis 22:18] ¡°and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.¡±

14

The prophet Isaiah also prophesied:

[ Isaiah 11:1] ¡°A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.¡±

Jesse is King David's father. This is a prophecy that Christ comes to earth through David.

15

These words are also fulfilled through Jesus.

Matthew 1: 1 tells us exactly about Jesus:

[Matthew 1:1]

¡°A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham¡±

The fact that Jesus came as a descendant of Abraham and David is a testimony that He is the Christ.

16

Jesus is not one of the many great men born on earth. He is incomparable with great men who have been recognized and exalted. He is the only Christ, the Messiah, who came to earth in the flesh like us. There is no way to be saved except the way to believe in Christ Jesus.

17

Let's thank Jesus for coming to Christ in obedience to God's Word to save us on Christmas. You should believe that there is no way to be saved except Jesus who came as Christ, and you should try to be a people of faith who live by obeying God's Word and value the salvation I received.
