A miracle that happened to Aeneas and Tabitha

2

[ Acts 9:35 / 9:42 ]

All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.

This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.

3

The fact that Jesus is the only Messiah was widespread. Apostle Peter, a disciple of Jesus, comforted believers in various places. Today he went to an area called ¡®Lydda¡¯ to comfort believers.

4

Peter went to ¡®Lydda¡¯ and met a man named 'Aeneas'. ¡®Aeneas¡¯ was a person who had a paralytic disease and had been lying down for 8 years. The Holy Spirit came to Peter.

5

Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke to Aeneas, who was paralyzed. ¡°Aeneas, Jesus Christ will heal you, stand up and settle down.¡±

6

A miracle happened after Peter's words were over. Aeneas whole body was strengthened and jumped up there. God performed the miracle of healing Aeneas through Peter.

7

There was great faith in the hearts of those who saw what happened to Aeneas. Because of him, many people in the area believed in Jesus. Many people in the area have returned to the Lord.

8

Some believers in Jesus were found in ¡®Joppa¡¯, near ¡®Lydda¡¯. Among them was a female disciple named ¡®Tabitha¡¯. ¡®Tabitha¡¯ did good things to others, helped the poor, and did things that please God.

9

Tabitha has a big illness. Eventually, the disease caused her to die. Many who benefited from her after Tabitha's death did not let her go.

10

They washed Tabitha's body and lay it in the attic. And they sent an messenger to Peter in Lydda to come quickly.

11

The two men who went to bring Peter to Joppa told him the story of the disciple Tabitha. Peter listened to them and went with them to Joppa.

12

They led Peter to the upper room where Tabitha's body was. The widows wept and showed Peter the clothes she had made for them when she lived. They are asking Peter to live with the belief that God can save the dead.

13

Peter sent people out of there. And he knelt to God and prayed earnestly. Peter believed and prayed that God would rise to Tabitha from death if he wanted it.

14

After praying, Peter turned to the body of Tabitha and shouted. ¡°Tabitha Wake Up!¡±

15

Tabitha awoke after Peter's words were over. It was alive again. God listened to Peter's prayer. Tabitha saw Peter and sat up there.

16

Peter raised and stand up the hand of Tabitha who live again. And he called people to show that Tabitha was alive. People were so happy to see it. The news that Tabitha was alive has led many people in Joppa to believe in Jesus.

17

God is most pleased with the spread of the gospel. Great miracles helped Peter spread Jesus more widely, and many people believed in Him.

God is with us when we preach the gospel with an earnest heart like Peter. He helps others to believe in Jesus and be saved through us. We must strive to be those who glorify God by preaching this gospel which is saved by faith in Jesus and eternal life.
