1

People who abandoned the boat and the net and followed Jesus

2

[Matthew 4:19-20]

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

At once they left their nets and followed him.

3

Jesus who came to this earth to save us turned 30 years old. From this point on, Jesus worked to proclaim the kingdom of God to people according to the will of God.

4

Before starting the work of gospel witness, He was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. When Jesus was baptized and came up from the water, God directly declared that Jesus was the Son of God.

¡ºAnd a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."¡» [Matthew 3:17]

5

Jesus who was baptized was led by the Holy Spirit to the wilderness. There was a time of fasting and praying to God for 40 days.

6

After Jesus finished praying, he was tested by Satan three times. These are the three tests. The first was the test, 'Make bread out of stone'. The second was the test, 'Jump off the top of the temple'. The third was the test, 'If you bow down to Satan, I will give you the whole world.' Jesus overcame all three tests of Satan with the word of God.

7

Jesus who overcome Satan's temptation began to preach the gospel of Heaven. Jesus left Nazareth, where he grew up, and lived in a place called ¡°Capernaum¡± with beaches around Zebulun and Naphtali. There he preached, telling the people, "Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand."

8

Surprisingly, it was already prophesied by the prophet Isaiah of the Old Testament that Jesus would begin to preach the gospel in Capernaum around Zebulun and Naphtali. Isaiah's prophecy came true as Jesus came to Capernaum and began to preach the gospel.

¡ºNevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.¡» [Isaiah 9:1-2]

9

Jesus walked along the beach in Galilee and saw two fishermen throwing nets. Jesus approached them and said: ¡°Come with me. I will make you a fisherman for fishing.¡±

10

Jesus' words were powerful. The two were attracted to the word of the power and left the net they had thrown away and began to follow Jesus. These were Jesus' first disciples Peter and Andrew.

11

Jesus continued to walk along the Sea of Galilee and found others. In the boat, the father and two sons were mending the net together. Jesus also approached them.

12

And Jesus said to his sons, 'Follow me.' These people also obeyed Jesus' call. They stopped doing what they were doing and began to follow Jesus with their father on board.

13

These people were brothers James and John who became Jesus' disciples. These four became the first people to be called as disciples of Jesus. From that day on, they followed Jesus and helped preach the gospel.

14

These four men, the fishermen of Galilee, made amazing decisions and choices when Jesus called them. They quit their fishermen's lives and followed Jesus. They left behind the boats and nets they valued the most and followed Jesus.

15

They made a decision that made following Jesus more important than anything they had. It was more valuable to be a fisherman to fish than to fish and to live, leaving all of his things behind and following Jesus.

16

Jesus blessed them with incomparable blessings. All of them were used as precious disciples to share the gospel of Heaven as disciples of Jesus. They lived the life of a fisherman fishing a man as Jesus said. When Peter preached the word of God, it happened that three thousand people a day believed in Jesus.

17

What they did was recorded in the Bible, the Word of God, and today many people are used to believe in Jesus. The Gospel they preached has been passed on to us, so we now believe in Jesus and go to heaven. There is nothing more important in this world than following Jesus' will. Anyone abandons the ¡°his own thing¡± that is deemed good for them, and God remembers those who follow what Jesus values ??and lives a wonderful life of grace that cannot be compared to anything in the world. Let's become people of faith who follow the will of Jesus from a young age.
