Christian Life

[Romans 12 : 21]
Do not be overcome by evil, but
overcome evil with good.

There are many countries in this world.
Every country has a citizenship set by each
country.
Each country has its own laws that citizens
with citizenship must abide by.
|
4
|
|
Citizens are obligated to abide by the laws of
their country.
However, the laws of all countries are not the
same.
Some of the laws are the same, but there are
also different ones.
|

|
|
Let me explain with an example.
In Korean and American cars, the driver's seat
is on the left side of the vehicle.
However, in Japan and the UK, the driver's seat
is on the right side of the vehicle.
|

|
|
Vehicles in countries where the driver's seat
is on the left side are driven on the right side of
the road by default. Conversely, vehicles in
countries with the driver's seat on the right drive
on the left side of the road by default.
Depending on which side the driver's seat is
on, different principles must be followed.

We who believe in Jesus and
become children of God are called Christians.
The Bible says that when a
person becomes a Christian, that person is given a new citizenship.
¡°But our citizenship is in heaven.
And we eagerly
await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ¡± [Philippians 3 : 20]
|

|
|
The Bible says that the moment a person becomes
a Christian, he or she is given citizenship
in heaven. Those who receive heavenly
citizenship are obliged to keep the laws of
heavenly citizens.
Romans 12 tells in detail the law, that is, the
principle of life, that Christians with heavenly citizenship must obey.
Let's take a look at some life principles
together.
|
9
|
|
First, the Bible tells us how
to treat people who belong to the church as Christians.
Becoming the same Christian
means becoming brothers and sisters through the blood of Jesus.
|
10
|
|
We must love those with whom we have become Christians with a sincere
heart.
The Bible tells us how to love one another.
¡°Love must be
sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one
another in
brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.¡± [Romans 12:9-10]
|
11
|
|
Also,
the Bible tells us not to be lazy when we are doing something, but to work
diligently.
If
our brothers need help, we should be willing to help them.
We
should also pray for them.
|
12
|
|
Second, there are principles of Christian
living even toward those who do not believe in Jesus.
When a neighbor or friend experiences something
happy, we should rejoice together with sincerity. And when they are grieved,
we should mourn with them and comfort them.
The Bible teaches us to be truly of one accord
with the joys and sorrows of our neighbors.
|
13
|
|
A Christian should be willing to associate with
people who appear humble and insignificant
on the outside. Judging and ignoring people
based on what they see is a form of pride.
We must never lose our humility, remembering
that Jesus became a Christian by dying on the cross for us who are sinners.
|
14
|
|
Some people hate Christians for nothing.
They say bad things and sometimes say bad
things.
For these people, too, Christians should ask
God to bless them.
It is very difficult, but a saved Christian
must act like this.
|
15
|
|
Also, if someone does evil to me as a
Christian, I must not repay evil with evil.
Even if you meet someone who treats you like an
enemy, you must not take revenge yourself.
I have to trust and trust that God, who knows
everything about me,
will avenge me more accurately and fairly.
|
16
|
|
Christians
must imitate what Jesus did.
He did as much
as he could, imitating Jesus who prayed for those who crucified him.
He must do
good.
If we can, we should try to get along with
others.
|
17
|
|
Today, it is
impossible for us to keep the word we have heard and do it by our own
strength.
But when the
Holy Spirit walks with us, the Holy Spirit makes it possible.
We must not
follow the principles of Christian living according to the Bible and act out
of
our hearts. f
you do what you want, you will lead an unhappy life where you lose to evil
and are drawn to it.
If you remember the grace of Jesus who saved
you and walk with the Holy Spirit,
you will not be defeated by evil and will live
a life that overcomes evil with good.
