Bible verse : Daniel
4::37 (NIV)
Now
I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven,
because everything he does is right and all his ways are just.
And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

One day,
Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, who was famous as a violent king and a great
conqueror who destroyed Judah, was resting peacefully in his palace, he had a
dream that would completely change his life.
|
4
|
|
He saw in his dream a beautiful
and strong tree. The tree grew bigger and bigger until it was so big that it
even covered the sky. The tree branch bears a lot of desirable fruits as well
as its size. Many animals came in and were resting under the shade of a large
tree. Many birds nested in the branches and made their nests.
|
5
|
|
Then, suddenly, holy watchers descended from heaven and shouted
at the tree!
¡°Cut down this tree and drop all the fruit from its branches! And drive away
all beasts and birds that dwell in the trees! Then, leave only the stumps of
the tree roots and tie them tightly with iron and brass lines! He will mingle
with the beasts of the field, and his heart will be changed, and he will live
with the mind of a beast rather than that of a man. You will spend seven
times like that!¡±

|
King Nebuchadnezzar woke up from
his dream and was afraid.
The king summoned Daniel the man of God, explained the dream, and asked him
to interpret it.
|
7
|
|
Realizing
that it was an ominous dream, Daniel was immediately taken aback.
King Nebuchadnezzar noticed this and said: ¡°Daniel¡¦ don¡¯t worry, just tell
the story as it is¡¦¡± Daniel replied, ¡°My King¡¦ I hope that the interpretation
of this dream will only come true for your enemies!¡±
|
8
|
|
Daniel began to interpret dreams.
¡°The strong and large tree that appeared in the king's dream is the king. So
the command of the Most High will be given to the king. You will be driven
away from men, and you will live with the beasts of the field, and you will
graze like oxen, and you will be drenched with the dew from heaven.¡±
|
9
|
|
Daniel's interpretation
continued. ¡°After these seven times have passed, the king will first
understand that the Most High rules over human kingdoms, and that he gives
them to whoever agrees with him. Also, the command to leave the stump of the
root of the tree means that your kingdom will be firmly established again
only after you realize that God rules the world.¡±
|
10
|
|
After completing the
interpretation of dreams, Daniel gave sincere advice for King Nebuchadnezzar.
¡°O king! Do justice, have your sins forgiven, and show mercy to the poor
people! If you do, your glory may last.¡± King Nebuchadnezzar realized that it
was a special dream and fell into deep thought.
|
11
|
|
Twelve months later,
one day, King Nebuchadnezzar was walking leisurely on the roof of the royal
palace. Looking down upon the great kingdom of Babylon, the king spoke aloud
with pride. ¡°Look at this wonderful city I have built, this great Babylon,
does not my power and greatness appear as it is?¡±
|
12
|
|
But before these words could leave the king's mouth, a voice came
from heaven.
¡°I tell you, King Nebuchadnezzar, the kingship has departed from you. You
will be kicked out of the human world and will live with the wild animals and
graze like oxen. After these seven times have passed, you will know that the
Most High rules over human kingdoms and that he gives them to those who agree
with him.¡±
|
13
|
|
The
word was fulfilled by King Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from the inhabited
world and ate grass like cattle, his body was wet with the dew of heaven, his
hair grew like eagle feathers and his fingernails like birds' claws. it
happened The glorious king turned into a beast in an instant.
He had to live that way until God's appointed time.
|
14
|
|
When God's appointed
period was over, King Nebuchadnezzar looked up to the sky with a heart that
feared God. Then his mind was whole again.
After sitting on the throne again, he praised the Most High God and gave
glory only to God.
|
15
|
|
Returning to his throne as king, Nebuchadnezzar proclaimed
throughout the kingdom, ¡°Now, I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt the King of
Heaven, and give glory to him alone! How great is that miracle!! It's
amazing, what a strange thing!! His kingdom is forever, and his reign is from
generation to generation!!¡±
|
16
|
|
Through a dream, God revealed to Nebuchadnezzar what a great
mistake King Nebuchadnezzar's arrogance was. King Nebuchadnezzar, who
commanded the whole world, had no choice but to live a miserable life if God
took his power.
|
17
|
|
What do our friends think of God today? How should we who believe
in Jesus treat God appropriately? The Bible teaches that God hates proud
people.
|
18
|
|
As children of God, we must remember today's Word when we feel
arrogant.
I must realize that everything I have is within God's will and never lose my
humble heart. We must always give glory and praise to God with a grateful
heart for what has been given to us now.
You must live the life of a child of God who exalts and fears God anytime,
anywhere.
