God passed over after seeing the blood

Bible verse : Exodus 12:23 (NIV)
When the LORD goes through the land to strike
down the Egyptians,
he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass
over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses
and strike you down.

When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians,
he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass
over that doorway,
and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.

Years
passed and a new dynasty ruled Egypt, unaware that Joseph had been Prime
Minister of Egypt. They feared the number of Israelites.
The reason is because they were afraid that they would betray themselves.
Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, did all sorts of evil things to weaken the
Israelites.

|
|
When an Israelite gave birth to a male
child, they did a terrible thing by drowning it in the Nile River.
They also treated the Israelites like slaves. In order to weaken their
strength,
they were mobilized for hard labor and forced to work in their construction
sites.
The pain of the Israelites was so great that they prayed earnestly to God to
let them leave Egypt.
They prayed to God to allow them to go to Canaan, where their ancestors
lived.

God heard
the prayers of the Israelites and raised Moses as the leader of Israel.
Moses, who was appointed by God, went to the king of Egypt with his brother
Aaron and asked for his people to be set free. However, Pharaoh, the king of
Egypt, refused to listen to Moses and was stubborn.

God sent many plagues on the land of Egypt to force Pharaoh to
surrender and let the Israelites go. God sent his first plague on Egypt, the
water turning to blood.
As a
second plague, he brought a plague that covered all the land of Egypt with
frogs.
The third
plague turned the dust of the earth into lice, afflicting people and animals.
The fourth plague caused flies to swarm the whole
land. God gave grace to the
Israelites from the Paris plague. God did not allow the disaster to
come upon the land of Goshen, where the Israelites lived.

|
|
Pharaoh,
who was very distressed by the flies, promised Moses that he would go out
about three days' journey from Egypt and allow the Israelites to offer
sacrifices as requested by Moses.
However, he did not keep that promise after the plague of Paris was over.
Because of Pharaoh's evil heart, God continued to bring disaster to the land
of Egypt.

In the
fifth plague, God sent a severe plague to the livestock and killed them all.
The sixth plague caused malignant boils on people and animals.
The seventh plague caused hailstones to fall all over the land, and the
eighth plague covered the whole land with locusts. The ninth brought great
darkness over all the land, and there was no daylight.
God sent plagues on Egypt nine times, but Pharaoh did not change his evil
heart.

God
decided to send the last plague, the tenth plague, to save Israel and said to
Moses.
¡°I will go through all Egypt tonight about midnight. The eldest sons of each
family will be killed, and the first born animals will also be killed. But
none of the Israelites will be hurt.¡±
The last plague prepared by God was a disaster that killed all the firstborn
of humans and animals.

God also told the Israelites what they had to do to protect them
from this disaster. Moses told the people what God had commanded.
First,
prepare a sheep for each house. Second, the lamb to be prepared must be
a
one-year-old
male without blemish. Third, when you slaughter the sheep, take some of its
blood and put it on the threshold and on the right and left doorposts. Fourth,
eat roasted meat with bitter herbs and unleavened bread. Fifth,
hurry up and eat like a person who is about to leave, wearing all your
clothes, putting on your shoes, and holding a walking stick.
|
12
|
|
The Israelites followed the word of God
conveyed by Moses.
They slaughtered the sheep as God said. They took the blood of the lamb and
put it on the threshold and on the right and left doorposts.
They dressed up to leave right away, as God had commanded, and ate roasted
meat, bitter herbs, and unleavened bread evenly.
|
13
|
|
The tenth plague that God spoke of began that night.
The Spirit of God descended upon all Egypt. The Spirit of God killed all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt. However, as God commanded, the house with
lamb's blood smeared on the threshold and on the right and left doorposts
passed by.
|

|
|
In
the tenth plague, the first son of Pharaoh who was sitting on the throne also
died. Not only the first son of Pharaoh, but also the first son of the lowest
rank died.
The tenth plague was not limited to humans. All the firstborn of the beast
also died. Throughout the land of Egypt, the cries of families who had lost
their first son did not stop.

Pharaoh hurriedly summoned Moses and Aaron
in the middle of the night.
[During
the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ¡°Up! Leave my people,
you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord as you have requested. Take your
flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.¡±
[Exodus 12: 31-32]
Pharaoh completely surrendered to God
that night. Only then did he realize how great God's power is.

|
|
That night, the Israelites hurriedly left
the land of Egypt. God gave them the gold, silver, jewels, and clothes that
the Egyptians had, so the Israelites set out with many precious things. That
night, 600,000 of the Israelites left Egypt, who had lived for 430 years. The
Israelites celebrate the Passover to commemorate the day they were saved.

|
|
Through the 10th plague on Egypt, the
Israelites were saved from Egypt.
We have seen that only those who obeyed God's word and smeared the blood on
their doorframes were saved. The salvation we received is the same as this.
We are saved because of the blood that Jesus, the Lamb, shed on the cross on
our behalf. Just as the person who smeared the blood on the door frame was
saved, the person who acknowledges the shed blood of Jesus and accepts Him as
their savior is saved.
We must be more grateful for the grace of Jesus who gave us salvation and
strive to become children of faith who strive to imitate Jesus.
