Title

1

Sing joyful praise to Jehovah!

2

Bible verse : Psalm 100:3 (NIV)

Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

3

The Psalms of the Bible consist of a total of 150 poems. Of the 150 psalms, 73 were written by David. In addition, it contains poems written by the descendants of Asaph and Korah, and by Solomon and Moses.

4

Psalm 150 is further divided into five books. Volume 1 is from the first poem to poem 41, and Volume 2 is from poem 42 to poem 72.
Volume 3 is divided into poems 73 to 89, Volume 4 is divided into poems 90-106, and the last five volumes are divided into poems 107 to 150.

5

Psalms The classification of the five books of the Bible has another special part.
It is surprising that there are so many parts that correspond to each theme in the first five books of the Bible written by Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
Such amazing things are possible because the Bible was written by one God through man.

6

Today, I would like to think about the 100th psalm of the 4th book of Psalms with you. Let¡¯s read verse 5 of Psalm 100 together.

1. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
3. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
5. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

7

Psalm 100 is largely divided into three parts. (Verses 1-2 /Verses 3-4/Verses
5) The first part invites us to a place of praising God.
¡°Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.¡±
It is not only people who must praise God and praise Him, but also commands all things in this world to praise God.

8

Praise to Him must be done with the greatest joy.
¡°Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.¡±
This verse tells us to give joyful praise to God, just as the people of old welcomed the king with joy when he returned from a victorious war and went on a triumphal procession.

9

Why should we praise God? Verse 3 clearly explains why.
[Know that the LORD is God.]
The reason we must praise God with joy is because Jehovah God is the only true God.

10

There are many gods in the world. However, most of those gods are gods made by human hands.
People make things with their own hands and bow to their gods for blessings. However, God is not a god created by human hands.
He existed for Himself.

11

The Bible goes on to explain why He is the only true God and worthy of praise.
[It is he who made us]
He is the one who created us.
It is clearly stated in Genesis 1:1.
[In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.]
He is the one who created the heavens, the earth, and the whole world in six days, and created humans on the sixth day.

12

The whole world was created by His hands. Everything in this world is a creation created by God. Therefore, it is natural that everything in this world created by Him gives praise to God. Every time we see the world with our eyes, we must remember God who created it and praise Him highly.

13

The poet who wrote Psalm 100 gives another reason why we should give joyful praise to God: ¡°It is he who made us, and we are his ; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.¡±
The relationship between God and His people is likened to the relationship between a shepherd and sheep. We can sing songs of joy because God, our shepherd, lovingly cares for and protects us, his sheep.

14

God gathers His flock, His people, through His only Son, Jesus. Anyone who believes in Jesus becomes God's property and his people, no matter what country they belong to. God allows his people to live under God's guidance, like sheep under the guidance of a shepherd.
We who have been saved by believing in Jesus are the people spoken of in the Psalms.

15

We who have been saved and become children of God must give even more joyful praise to God.
Every day, we must remember the grace of God, the Lord and King of the whole world, who has chosen us to become His children, and praise us with gratitude.
As verse 4 says, we must enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, giving thanks to him and blessing his name.

16

[For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.]
The last 5 verses declare that the God who saved us is always good.
The love that saved us by loving us will never change.
The promise He made to His saved people will never change and He faithfully guides us so that we can enter eternal heaven.

17

Through the words of Psalm 100, we are given a clear reason to praise God.
We should enjoy praising God through songs that praise Him more than singing any song in this world. Whenever we see everything in this world created by God,
we must become people who praise God who created it all. In particular, we must remember the grace of God, who chose us as His people and guide us like a shepherd leads his sheep, and become people of faith who exalt and praise Him at every moment.
