Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Humans Created in the Image of God

2

Bible verse : Genesis 1:26-27 (NIV)

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,
and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air,
over the livestock,
over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

3

Before God created this world, this world was a dark place with nothing in it.
God filled this world with harmony through His Word.
On the first day, God created light and divided it into day and night. On the second day, He created the heavens.
On the third day, He divided the land and sea, and on the fourth day,
He created the sun, moon, and stars. And on the fifth day, He created birds and fish. God looked at everything he had created and was very satisfied.

4

On the sixth day, God spoke. ¡°Let the earth produce all kinds of living things. Bring out the livestock, the creeping things, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.¡± Just as God had said, the whole earth was filled with all kinds of living creatures, livestock, and wild animals.
These too were very good in the eyes of God.

5

The whole world was created beautifully and perfectly as God planned.
God creates special beings to rule over the entire world he created.
Genesis 1:26 records what God said.
[Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."(Genesis 1:26)]

6

God created man as a being distinct from other living creatures and beasts.
God made it clear that He created man in His own image.
Also, the purpose of God creating man was to have dominion over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and everything that creeps on the earth.

7

After God spoke these words, he created the first man from the dust of the ground. The man God created from dust initially had no life.
God breathed the breath of life into man's nostrils.

8

The moment God breathed life into man's nostrils, man made of clay became a being with life. The first man created by God is called Adam.
The first man, Adam, was a sinless being. Adam was a good and holy being created in God's image and resembling God's character.

9

God created a garden for Adam in Eden, in the eastern land.
The Garden of Eden was filled with all kinds of trees that bore fruit that was both beautiful and good for eating. In the center of the garden was the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The river that started in the Garden of Eden watered the Garden of Eden and divided into four branches to water the entire land.
The Garden of Eden created by God was a very beautiful place.

10

God allowed Adam to live in this beautiful Garden of Eden, take care of it, and protect it. God brought all the animals and birds he had made to Adam and had him name them. Adam named all the animals God brought to him.
The name Adam gave soon became their name.

11

God was watching him give names to the animals. Besides Adam, all animals had partners. God put Adam into a deep sleep so that he could have a partner to be with him.

12

God took out one of Adam's ribs and filled the missing rib with flesh.
From the rib taken from Adam, God created a human to become Adam's partner.
God brought him a human made from Adam's rib.

13

Adam was happy to see the human standing in front of him and confessed:
[The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man."((Genesis 2:23)]

Adam called the human being made from his ribs woman. Adam called this woman's name Eve.

14

Eve, who was created as the first woman, was created as a sinless person like Adam. Eve was also a good and holy being who resembled God's character and was created in God's image. These two people had the appearance of perfect human beings created by God. Before they sinned, they were enough to fully obey God's word and please Him.

15

Through today¡¯s Word, we looked at how God created humans.
We are all made in the image of God. We were created as special and noble beings, different from all the animals in this world.
We must realize how precious and special we are and give thanks to God.

16

Also, by believing in Jesus and being saved, we received the grace of having all our sins forgiven. Through salvation, we are restored to being created in the image of God. We must be thankful that with the help of the Holy Spirit, we too have become special beings who can completely obey the Word of God.

17

We must remember in any situation that we are special beings created in the image of God. We must cherish ourselves as we were created in the image of God. Therefore, when we decide something, we must think wisely about whether it is in accordance with God's created will.
We must always live a life accompanied by the Holy Spirit, completely obey the Word of God, and become a person who does what pleases God.
