Jesus crushes Satan's head and is resurrected

Bible verse : Genesis
3:15 (NIV)
And I will put enmity between you
and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.

In the beginning, God created
this world with words. And on the sixth day,
He created humans. Adam and Eve, humans created directly by God, had no sin.
So they had a happy time communicating directly with God.
|

|
|
But
this happy peace did not last long. Eve, deceived by the serpent, Satan,
first ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, which God had forbidden,
and then made Adam eat it as well. Man, who was created without sin, broke
God's word and ended up sinning. This sin is called original sin.
|
5
|
|
God severely
punished Adam and Eve for their sin and kicked them out of the Garden of
Eden. Eve, a woman, was greatly punished by the pain of giving birth to her
child. Adam, a man, was told to work hard all his life in order to obtain
food from the land.

|
|
The original
sin committed by Adam and Eve did not end there.
Everyone born after Adam was born with original sin. Because of this sin,
humans received the terrible punishment of death. Everyone born after Adam
experienced the punishment of death because of sin.
|

|
|
However, God
did not abandon humans into the hands of Satan. God established a plan of
salvation for humans from the moment they sinned. When God punished Satan for
causing Adam and Eve to sin, He already announced His plan of salvation for
mankind. That word comes from Genesis 3:15. Let¡¯s read it together.
[And I will put enmity between you and
the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and
you will strike his heel." (Genesis 3:15)]

God¡¯s
love for saving humans was amazing. God established a plan of salvation to
restore humanity from the time Adam and Eve sinned. And he carried out that
plan step by step. It is Jesus who was sent to us in human form to complete God's
plan of salvation.

|
As
prophesied, Jesus came to this earth through the body of Mary, a pure virgin.
Jesus, who came to this earth, faithfully fulfilled God's plan of salvation.
Although Satan continued to attack and hinder Jesus' work, he defeated them
all and carried out God's plan without wavering.
|
10
|
|
Satan
tested Jesus three times when Jesus fasted and prayed for 40 days and his
body was at its weakest. However, Jesus, the Son of God, did not fall under
Satan's temptation. He defeated all temptations and was victorious only with
the word of God.
|
11
|
|
Still, Satan did not give up.
Just like the serpent did long ago, Satan deceived people into not believing
in Jesus. People who were deceived by Satan did not believe in and hated
Jesus, the Son of God. They framed Jesus, who was innocent, with false sins,
and made him be crucified.
|
12
|
|
Jesus,
who was innocent, suffered the punishment of death on the cross. Satan nipped
at the heel of Jesus, the woman's descendant. Satan would have been pleased
to think that his plan had succeeded. Satan must have been happy, thinking
that it was all over because he had put Jesus, the Son of God, in death.
|
13
|
|
The body of
Jesus who died on the cross was buried in a tomb prepared by Joseph of
Arimathea. Many people who loved Jesus shed tears before his death.
They too were sad, thinking it was all over.
|
14
|
|
But death could not keep Jesus,
who is God, in the tomb. On the third day after Jesus went into the tomb, he
broke all the power of his death and rose again. Jesus broke the power of
death and rose again. He was resurrected again in the flesh by Jesus.
|
15
|
|
The resurrection of Jesus is the complete victory over the death
that humans experience because of sin. Because Jesus was resurrected in the
flesh, the head of Satan, the king of death, was trampled upon.
God's promise, saying, "The woman's offspring will crush your
head," came true.
|
16
|
|
God has planned to
save humans from the day they sinned. And he fulfilled that plan by giving
his only son to death on the cross and raising him from the dead. Because of
this, he opened the path of hope to all humans who were bound by sin and had
no choice but to live in fear of death.
|
17
|
|
The hope is that
anyone who believes and confesses Jesus as the Messiah can receive eternal
life. God, in His mercy, has forgiven us, sinners, through the death of His
sinless Son, Jesus. And by raising his Son to life again, he enabled us who
were dead to receive true life. God has made us, who were slaves of Satan,
children of God! Whenever we think of the resurrection of Jesus, we should
think of the amazing grace that God has given us and give thanks.
I hope that all my friends will always rejoice in the resurrected Jesus
throughout your lives.
