Jesus heals a paralytic.

Mark 2:11-12

"I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home."

He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"

Jesus traveled many places to share the gospel. Today, he entered to Capernaum.

The people heard that he had come. They gathered to meet Jesus.

There was no room left, not even outside the door. Many people still could not enter the house and hear His preaching in outside.

Jesus started to share the word of God.

There were also Pharisees and the teachers of law.

There were four men who brought a paralytic in a mat.  But they could not enter the house because of many people. They came with their faith but they could not meet Jesus. Can you imagine how much they were disappointed?

At that moment, one of them gave wonderful suggestion. ““ hey, what if we can bring him to the roof and make an opening and down him to Jesus. Can we do that?””

Everybody agreed and climbed up the roof and made an opening. They surely believed that Jesus had the healing power to cure the man.

They opened the roof and lowered the paralyzed man. All people in the place were surprised.

Jesus saw their faith. And He told the paralytic.  ““ My son, your sins are forgiven.”” Jesus forgave his sin first.

 As He said this, the teachers of law and Pharisees were thinking. ““ Why des this fellow talk like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?””

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their heart. ““Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘ your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? but you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins……””

And He said to the paralytic, ““Get up, take your mat and go home.”” Can it be so?

As soon as Jesus spoke this, the paralytic did it. Jesus healed him.

The people were amazed and praised God. They knew that Jesus had a power to heal and clean our sins.

The four friends believed that Jesus can heal the paralytic so that they made an opening in the roof. Because of the faith, Jesus healed him. Like them, if we put down our problems before Jesus by faith, He always solves all the problems. We will experience a miracle!
