Let¡¯s
accept the Holy Spirit in our heart
2
But you will receive
power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." [Acts 1:8]
3
Jesus had risen from the
dead in three days.
While Jesus was living
on the earth, Jesus promised that he would rise again in three days. He had
done as he promised.
4
For forty days, Jesus
met the disciples and many people.
Jesus said to them that
they would do great things in the future.
"You go all around
the world.
And make
the disciples who will do greater things than I."
5
The disciples were worried
about doing great things without Jesus.
Jesus promised the fearful
disciples.
6
"I will go to
Father in heaven again. Do not be afraid.
I will send the Holy
Spirit who will help you instead of me."
7
And Jesus went up to
heaven while the disciples were watching.
They were scared because
they had to preach the gospel without Jesus' help.
8
Yet, they decided to
believe what Jesus promised and wait.
Before Jesus left the
disciples,
Jesus said to them tat
he would send the Holy Spirit to cover for Jesus. So they had believed the
promise and been waiting together.

About 120 people
gathered up to pray everyday.
They had been waiting for
the appointed one by Jesus on the earth.
It became one, two,
three ... then ten days.
10
As usual, they gathered
up to pray and suddenly it happened.
A sound like the blowing
of a violent wind came from heaven.
It filled the whole
house where they were sitting.
11
A vision that looked
like the tongues of fire appeared before the people.
The fire separated and
came down to each of them.
It was incredible and
awesome.
12
The appointed one by
Jesus really came there.
The one was the Holy
Spirit.
The people could
experience the Holy Spirit for themselves.
13
They began to preach
Jesus to the people.
After the Holy Spirit
coming to them, they changed from scared people to courage people.
14
Amazed, when they said
something to foreign people,
foreigners could understand
it in their own languages.
When Peter was speaking
in his own language and a crowd came together, each one heard him speaking in
his own languages.
15
The Holy Spirit helped
the disciples preach the gospel to the people.
Peter spoke God's words through
the Holy Spirit.
It was a miracle that
3000 people turned to believe Jesus that day.
16
The Holy Spirit
gives positive help to those who believe in Jesus do things That God is pleased with
as well. The Holy Spirit helps people who are not good at preaching the
gospel to be good at it. The Holy Spirit helps people who are not good at
praying to be good at praying. And when we are weak of our faith, the Holy
Spirit makes us strong.
17
Even though the Holy
Spirit is good but if we do not accept the Holy Spirit, He will not be with us.
If we obey God's words, whenever we require the Holy Spirit he will come and
help us.
The Holy Spirit is always pleased
to be with us.
18
Think about what does
God likes for us to do? Please read the Bible and pray. Try to preach the gospel
and the Holy Spirit will be with you everyday. I hope that the Holy Spirit
is always with every friend who listens to God's words today.
