Jesus Christ who overcome the temptation

1

Jesus Christ  Overcame Temptation

2

Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written:

'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. [Matthew 4:10-11]

3

Jesus Christ, who came to save us from our sins, started his ministry

when he turned 30 years old.

4

Jesus Christ started his ministry by being baptized by John the Baptist.

When John baptized Jesus Christ, heaven¡¯s gates opened and a loud voice

was heard and at that time everybody knew that Jesus Christ was the Son

of God.

5

After Jesus Christ was baptized he was lead by the Holy Spirit to a

remote desert. At that time, Jesus Christ prayed and went without eating anything

for 40 days.

6

When the 40 days of prayer and fasting had finished, Satan came and

attacked Jesus Christ as if he had been waiting.

Satan came to make Jesus Christ fail and to make him stumble using

all his might and tricky methods.

7

The first thing Satan used to tempt Jesus Christ was hunger, because he

knew Jesus Christ hadn¡¯t eaten food for 40 days.

He used this brilliantly by saying,

¡°If you are truly the son of the living God, turn this stone into bread.¡±

8

Satan was tempting Jesus Christ to follow his words, Satan used hunger to tempt Jesus to

turn the stone into bread. How did Jesus Christ overcome this temptation

since he really didn¡¯t eat anything for 40 days?

9

Jesus Christ shouted at Satan! ¡°It is written in the Bible,

' A man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from

the mouth of God.¡¯¡±

This way, Jesus Christ was able to overcome the temptation of Satan.

10

When Satan failed his first temptation, he proceeded to the next temptation

and  brought Jesus Christ to a high temple. Then he said to Jesus Christ,

¡°If you are really son of the living God, jump from here.

In the Bible it says that God will send an angel to save you.

The Bible says that they will catch you and not let you touch the ground.¡±

11

Satan was tempting Jesus Christ by daring to show the power of God.

Jesus said, ¡°It is clearly written in the Bible, ¡®Do not put the Lord God Almighty to the test¡¯. Don`t test my God!¡±

He shouted and defeated Satan.

12

When Satan failed to tempt him two times, he brought Jesus Christ to a

Very high mountain that had a view of the whole world.

13

There, Satan showed all the glorious and great things in the world.

Satan showed a big country and the power they were using.

He showed the power that anybody would desire to have.

14

Satan said to Jesus Christ, ¡°If you bow down to me just one time

I¡¯ll give all thesee things to you.

Just do it once and all these powers will be yours.¡±

15

Satan was tempting Jesus Christ to obey him instead of God.

Jesus replied, ¡°Get away from me Satan! The Bible says,

¡®Worship only the true and living God and only pray to Him!¡±

He shouted at Satan.

16

Satan tempted Jesus Christ to disrupt our salvation.

He tried to disrupt salvation by tempting Jesus Christ and making him fail.

But Jesus Christ overcame everything by the Word of God.

When Satan failed to tempt Jesus Christ he left him.

And the angels came to serve Jesus Christ.

17

These days, Satan also tempts us just as he did to Jesus Christ.

He always tries to tempt us with the weak part of our hearts so that he

can disrupt our salvation. So we also need to overcome temptations by using

the word of God in the same way Jesus Christ did. Therefore, we should

never stop studying the Holy Bible so that we can  be prepared and

become obedient children of God.
