Jesus

the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

Today
is Children's Day. I wish to congratulate you today on this special day!
4
What
did Jesus think about children like you?
Today,
we will learn how Jesus treats each person through the story together.
5
When
Jesus stayed on the earth, he did not stop preaching the gospel.
One
day, Jesus
left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the
Jordan. Jesus
went every place to preach the gospel.
6
Many
people gathered to listen to the words of God after hearing the news that
Jesus would come. Jesus diligently taught the words of God to them.
7
Some
of them only came to Jesus so that he could heal their illnesses.
But
Jesus still healed them.
8
Even
some mothers brought their children to Him.
They
hoped
that Jesus would place his hands on their heads and pray for them.
9
However,
this is what happened when they tried to bring their children to Jesus.
The
disciples hindered them by saying, "Where are you going with your
children?
10
They
begged the disciples by saying, "We are here for Jesus to place his
hands on them and pray for them. Please let us go to Jesus."
11
But
the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
"Can't
you see that Jesus is too busy preaching?
What
would he do with your children anyways? Go away."
The
disciples did not let them meet Jesus.
12
The
mothers and children that wanted to meet Jesus turned away in disappointment.
Just
as they had turned away, they heard Jesus' voice behind them.
13
Jesus
said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for
the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." And Jesus told them to
bring their children to him.
14
Jesus
placed his hands on each of the little children and prayed for them.
Jesus
directly showed them how much he loved these little children.
The
mothers were so glad.
15
Jesus
then explained that only people who have innocent hearts such as little
children can enter into the kingdom of heaven. These words meant that you
should have a pure and good heart.
16
You
should realize how much Jesus loves you and take courage.
Even
if you face many problems, you should remember that you are a person who
Jesus loves.
17
From
now on, you should work on keeping a pure and good heart.
I
hope that you will become good children who have pure hearts the way that
Jesus desires.
