Thankfulness Make Miracles

(Psalms 50:23)

"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."

Are you a grateful person or a nagging person?

Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18[NIV]: “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” We should give thanks about everything we face. It is God's command so we have to obey everything.

I would like to introduce one man who gave thanks in everything.

His name was Warner Sallman and he was a young artist.

Warner Sallman lived a happy life since he had gotten married to his first love.

However, one day he felt that his body had a problem.

A doctor said to him with a disappointed face after checking his body.

"I am sorry. But you had Lymphatic glands Tuberculosis. It is impossible for me to heal you. You will be able to live only for three months."

The disease could not be healed in 1917, one hundred year ago.

Warner Sallman was shocked and disappointed with his situation.

More over, his wife was pregnant so he worried about her.

He lost all he had in one day.

However, his wife was a good and faithful woman. She said to her hopeless husband. "Do not think about living only for three months. Let's consider that God gives us this time as a blessing and give thanks to God. Let's make these three months happy and meaningful days."

He was encouraged by his wife and they spent time giving thanks to God day by day. When they opened their eyes in the morning, they thanked God for giving them another new day. The husband gave thanks by drawing pictures everyday with a talent given from God.

However, there happened an amazing miracle.

Warner Sallman did not die after three months.

He got even healthier.

It was a miracle. His disease was completely healed.

He and his wife gave thanks and glory to God.

Dying Warner Sallman began to draw pictures with the talent and pleasure given to him by God. The pictures that he had drawn during his whole life were loved by many people. Especially the pictures about Jesus impressed the people.

Given only three months, Warner Sallman spent time thankfully.

Then he experienced the healing of his disease and he lived to be seventy-six years old.

Therefore, thankfulness makes miracles. God wants us to be thankful in all circumstances. This is the promise that God will solve all our difficulties.

The book of Psalms says:

<Psalm 50:23>"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."

We should serve with thankfulness, worship in all circumstances, and give thanks to God for our whole lives.

Today is Thanksgiving Day. From now on, we should have faith that we can give thanks in all circumstances. Change your mind whenever you have complaints so that you can be a good and faithful follower of God like Warner.
