Jesus Walks on the Water

2

(Matthew 14:25-27)

During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

3

After Jesus performed the miracle with the five loaves and the two fish, he said to the disciples:

¡°While I dismiss the crowd, you get into the boat and go on ahead of me to the other side."

On hearing this, they left with the boat first.

4

Jesus went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Jesus was praying on the mountain alone into the night.
He never stopped praying even when he was busy.

5

But the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. The wind blew so hard at them that they could not move forward they just could turned around and around making themselves very dizzy.

6

Then suddenly, they saw an amazing sight.
During the fourth watch of the night someone came out to them, walking on the lake.
They were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.

7

"It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.

8

But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid."
They heard Jesus' voice but they could not believe it.

9

Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."

10

"Come," Jesus said.

11

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

It was an amazing experience for Peter to walk on the water.
Peter was walking on the water approaching Jesus.

12

But when he saw the wind, he became afraid because of the waves coming towards him.
As soon as Peter began to doubt about sinking that's when he did begin to sink into the water.

13

As Peter began to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!"

When Peter looked at Jesus, he could walk on the water but when he doubted Jesus, he sank.

14

Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.
"You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

15

When Jesus climbed into the boat with Peter, the wind died down and the sea became calm

16

Upon seeing this, the disciples worshiped Jesus saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

17

Jesus is the Son of God the one who created the whole world and the one who can walk on water. I hope that you can say that Jesus is truly the Son of God and have thankful hearts for receiving the Savior's amazing grace!!
