God Lifts up the Humble Person

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

All people who live in the world want to be lifted up.
People make various choices to accomplish their purposes for getting in a high position.

Some people think going to a famous college will be the way to gain a high status. So some of them even use a bad method to enroll in that college.

Some people think earning a lot of money is the way to get into a high position.
So we can often see many people going to jail because they used a wrong method to earn money.

Even if we have a high status in this world it cannot be compared to the King of the universe Jesus Christ. Those status' they seek for is nothing compared to Jesus. Today in our Bible story it talks about how to have a high status like Jesus.

Jesus Christ who is God came to the earth in a human body because he loves us.
Jesus Christ coming to earth was to show us the model on how to live pleasing God. Then what do you think Jesus did to be lifted high by God?

Even though Jesus came to the earth in a human body he still had great power.
If Jesus tried to have a high position in this world he could have become the king. However Jesus did not do that.

Instead of that Jesus helped the poor people.
He touched their wounds and healed them.
He lived for the lowest people.

He even washed the feet of the apostles.
In that time, that kind of act was only done by the servants to their masters.
Jesus served the apostles like a servant.

He even gave up on his life to save me and everyone here.
He died on the cross.
He became the lowest of the lowest to save us.

God lifted up Jesus who obeyed and worked humbly.
He made a miracle of resurrecting in three days.
Then God made Jesus the symbol of salvation.

God made Jesus Christ's name higher than any other name in this world.

God made Jesus Christ the King of Kings.
He made every living thing in this world bow to him.
God lifted Jesus higher than any other person.

Jesus Christ showing how humbly he lived is the example to us that we should also live a life like him. Truly being lifted up is living humbly like Jesus.

We want to be lifted up by others even if we are only a little bit better than them.
However those who have the mind of Jesus never act like that.
Instead they acknowledge the ones who are not good and try to help them.

God is happy when we have the mind of Jesus and humble ourselves.
Then he will lift us up. So let's try to live humble lives.
