Let's Believe in the Resurrection of the Body

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. (I Corinthians 15:20-21)

We believe in Jesus so Satan always works hard to make us have wrong doubts.

Sometimes Satan uses people around us to take away our faith.

There was this kind of happening in the Corinthian church.

The Apostle Paul raised that church and he shared the true gospel to those people.

"Jesus died on the cross for us and on the third day, Jesus rose again."

"Like Jesus, we will also rise again. Then we will be raised to a spiritual body and we will live in heaven forever." Hearing that, the people of the Corinthian church had great faith. They were comforted that they would rise again after death and live with Jesus forever.

Some people believed that they would rise again to a spiritual body on the last day and those people were able to win all the hard problems in their lives because they had faith of rising again. They had the hope that they would rise again to a spiritual body and that they will live in heaven forever so they worked hard in their daily lives to follow the words of God.

But Satan got some liars to make the people doubt rising again after death.

"Oh, how could a person die and rise again? How is that possible? This is totally a lie."

They were saying that rising again to a spiritual body after death was a lie.

Because of them, some people in the Corinthian church were confused.

The Apostle Paul heard that some people in the Corinthian church were doubting rising again so through letters the Apostle Paul strongly told them how wrong their faith was.

The Apostle Paul said that it was a lie to say a person would not rise again after death.

Jesus came as a human when he came to this world.

When Jesus lived in this world, Jesus was totally human.

Jesus died on the cross because of our sins.

Then on the third day, Jesus rose again.

Jesus was human and Jesus rose again so it is wrong that a human cannot rise again after death.

Many people saw that Jesus rose again with a human body.

Jesus appeared to the twelve disciples and proved it.

Also, more than five hundred people saw that Jesus rose again after death.

Jesus rose again and that Jesus said that people believing in him will rise again so that means we can also rise again to a spiritual body after death. Saying people cannot rise again is the same thing as sinning by doubting the resurrection of Jesus.

Death happens because of sin.

Adam did not obey God’s words and he committed sin by eating the forbidden fruit.

Because of that sin, we got the horrible punishment called death.

But Jesus opened the way to rise again after death.

Jesus came to this world with a human body then Jesus totally won Satan by rising again from death.

On the day of Jesus’second coming, we, as believers of Jesus will also rise again like how Jesus did. But those who do not believe Jesus will have the punishment in hell for forever. This saying is very true.

We are people who have received great grace of rising again after death.

So we should become great children of Jesus who can bravely win any hard problem in life by holding on to the faith of believing in the resurrection.
