Let Us Live the Life of Love

2

(I Corinthians 13:13)

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love.

3

Some people are specially chosen by God and some people accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Church is where those people gather together.

4

To serve the church well, the Holy Spirit gives various talents to each one of us.

5

To some people, the Holy Spirit gives the gift of speaking encouraging words.

When those people talk to others, it is like they were touched by an angel.

Their words comfort the hearts of others.

6

And some people can explain the words of God very well.

They can explain what the Bible passages mean and the people who hear can receive the gift of believing in them.

7

Some people have really great faith.

If they need to do something and even others say it is impossible, they still do and achieve it through their great faith.

8

After believing in Jesus, some people became very eager in helping others.

They really cared for others so much that they even offered up their own lives to help others.

9

But Apostle Paul said that these things might mean nothing. Let us read the passage out loud together: "Even though I speak the tongues of men and of angels but have no love in me, I am just a resounding gong and a noisy cymbal. Even though I got the gift of prophesy, and understand all kinds of secrets and have all knowledge and have great faith that can move mountains but have no love in me, then, I am nothing. Even though I share all my properties and give myself to the flames but have no love in me, then, I gain nothing good."

10

Yes, even if we do good things with a good ability, but if we don¡¯t have love in those deeds, God says those are all for nothing.

Then who are the people working with love?

11

People with loving hearts are patient. They wait for others and they are not anxious.

People with loving hearts are kind to others.

12

People with loving hearts are not jealous of others and they don¡¯t boast of themselves.

13

People with loving hearts don¡¯t use their power rudely.

People with loving hearts don¡¯t do things just for themselves.

14

People with loving hearts don¡¯t do wrong things.

They always think what the right thing to do is and when they do the right thing, they are happy. People with loving hearts don¡¯t easily get angry and they don¡¯t have hatred in their hearts.

15

People with loving hearts forgive the wrong doings of others and they have great faith of believing in the righteous God.

16

We already had received very great and amazing love from God.

To forgive our sins, God let His only Son die on the cross and opened the way for us to go to heaven.

17

Whatever we do, there is one thing we should always check first and that is if what we are doing is working with a loving heart or not. God is not happy with loveless deeds. I hope you will all become great people of faith. I hope in everything you do, you can always love and serve others just like how Jesus did.
