Children like treasure of heaven
|
2
|
|
[Matthew 19:14-15]
Jesus
said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for
the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
When
he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

Today is Sunday for children.
In other words, children¡¯s Sunday
is called Flower Sunday.
So how did the children's
Sunday start?
|
4
|
|
It
began very long ago in the American¡¯s Church in 1856.
Pastor
Leonard of Universalist Church gave a special service for the children on the
second Sunday of June.
As
this news became known, many churches began to offer children Sunday worship
services.

Children's
Sunday is called Flower Sunday in 1870 when it comes to the
Children's
Sunday School of Lowell Congregational Church in the state of
Massachusetts,
USA.
The
pastor of Lowell Church expressed that the children are beautiful and
fragrant
like flowers by decorating the church all over the children's Sunday.
From
that day on, Children's Sunday was called Flower Sunday in other words.

|
Don¡¯t
you wonder what our Savior Jesus said about children like you?
Let's
take a look at two things in the Bible.
|
7
|
|
One
day a quarrel arose within the disciples of Jesus.
The
quarrel was that who among the disciples was higher?
Older
people say older ones are higher.
A
smart person says that smart ones are higher.
|
8
|
|
The
disciples who were unable to come to the conclusion decided to go to Jesus.
"Lord,
who is the highest man among us?
"The
disciples waited for the words of Jesus, hoping that Jesus would tell
Himself.
|
9
|
|
Jesus
called a little child and set it up among his disciples. And he said.
"If
you are not like this child, you can not enter the kingdom of heaven.
He
who humiliates himself like this little child is the highest person in the
kingdom of heaven."
|
10
|
|
He
said that he should especially care for a child who believes in Jesus.
He
said that a child who believes in Jesus should never do sin.
Jesus
really counted a little child like you.
|
11
|
|
Jesus
was teaching the Word once.
At
that time there were mothers who brought the children.
These
mothers have come to expect Jesus to pray for their children.
|
12
|
|
Mothers
took their children and went to Jesus.
At
that time, the disciples of Jesus stopped their mothers and said,
"Do
not bring your children here. Jesus interferes with teaching people.
Take
the children away."
|
13
|
|
Mothers
felt sorry that they could not meet Jesus.
The
disciples will stop the children from coming to Jesus because they think
that
they are an obstacle to Jesus' speaking.
At
that time, Jesus saw this.
|
14
|
|
Jesus
said to His disciples:
"Do
not stop the little children from coming to me. The children were able to go
to Jesus
|
15
|
|
Jesus
told the gathered people how precious these children are.
"The
kingdom of heaven is like a child like this."
It
is said that a child, like a child, should be a lowly and humble person and
be
a people of heaven.
|
16
|
|
Then
he put his hand on the head of the little children.
One
of them blessed them as they were laying a prayer.
The
mothers of the children were so happy to see it.
Jesus
loved children like you this way.
|
17
|
|
Jesus
is pleased to bless you who have become children of God.
Sometimes
you are ignored by people because you are young, but our Jesus
never
ignores you.
Rather,
he says that each one of you is truly worthy. And let 's remember
that
he is the one who imparts unchanging love equally.
I
hope that you will be the children of Jesus, who are always smitten with the
love
of Jesus, who blesses a beautiful faith! Amen.
