King Ahab who took Naboth's vineyard

[1
Kings
21:15-16]
As soon as Jezebel heard that Naboth
had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab,
"Get up and take possession of
the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite that he refused
to sell you. He is no longer alive,
but dead." When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead,
he got up and went down to take
possession of Naboth's vineyard.

The king of Israel, King of the Most
Wicked, called the king of Ahab, with his wife Jezebel, engaged in all kinds
of wickedness and greatly angered God.
During his evil deeds, he took Naboth's
vineyard with his power.

|
Near the palace of King Ahab, there
was a large vineyard owned by a man named Naboth.
He wanted to buy this vineyard and
make a big garden.
So he went and told Naboth.
¡°Give me your vineyard. I would like
to grow that vineyard into my vegetable garden.
Instead, I will pay for it with a
better vineyard or money.¡±
|
5
|
|
King Ahab's offer seemed to him to be
profitable, but Naboth rejected King Ahab's offer
¡°This vineyard is inherited by our
forefathers. If I sell to someone else what I have
inherited from my ancestors, I will be
punished severely by God, and I can not sell this
vineyard to the king.¡±
|
6
|
|
The reason Naboth refused the king's
offer was because of God's command to
¡°The land must not be sold
permanently, because the land is mine...¡± (Leviticus 25:23).
Naboth was more afraid of the word of
God than the words of the king.

Jezebel, the queen who heard this
news, told her husband Ahab that she would take
Naboth's vineyard. And she devised a
lie to take Naboth's vineyard.
Jezebel wrote a few letters to the
elders of the area where Naboth lived and stamped
the king's seal.
|

|
|
The elders and nobles who read and
received the letter were surprised. It was stated in the
letter that Naboth made a false
witness who heard that he had cursed the king and God,
and arrested and killed him. elders
and nobles who were afraid of King Ahab took part
in killing Naboth at the request of
Jezebel.

|
Elders and nobles proclaim that no one
should eat food in order for the people to feel like
something has happened.
and they arrested Naboth and put him
in the place where the sinners sat down.
Naboth has been arrested for no reason
at all.

|
Soon they placed two bullies on the
other side of Naboth who had already bribed.
The two bullies testified that they
had heard Naboth speaking a curse on God and the king.
All this was a plan that Jezebel
invented.
|
11
|
|
But the people who did not know this
bad plan knew that Naboth was guilty of blasphemy
against God and the king, and took him
and dragged him out of the city.
They killed Naboth in stone, according
to the law of stoning and killing a man who
blasphemed the name of God. Naboth was
innocently killed by Jezebel's host.
|
12
|
|
When Jezebel heard that Naboth was
dead, he went to King Ahab and told him to go down
now to occupy the vineyard because
Naboth died. Ahab went to Naboth's vineyard with joy.
|

|
|
When Ahab was in the vineyard of
Naboth, Elijah the prophet of God appeared before him.
God sent the prophet Elijah to
proclaim the word of fearful judgment to Ahab king
who killed Naboth.
|
14
|
|
The prophet Elijah prophesied that
Ahab and Jezebel, who had done evil to Naboth, would
be miserably killed by God's judgment.
¡°If a man of the house of Ahab dies in the city,
the dogs will eat it; if they
die in the fields, the birds of the air will eat it.¡±
|
15
|
|
This word of God was fulfilled in the
near future, and King Ahab died miserably
in the battle with an arrow.
The Bible speaks of King Ahab's death.
¡°They washed the chariot at a pool in
Samaria (where the prostitutes bathed),* and the
dogs licked up his blood, as the word
of the Lord had declared.¡± (1Kg 22:37-38, NIV)
|
16
|
|
The prophecy of Jezebel was also
fulfilled.
Jezebel was thrown from a high place
and was burdened with a terrible end.
The Bible says: ¡°This is the word of
the LORD that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite: On the plot
of ground at Jezreel dogs will devour Jezebel's flesh.¡±(2Kg 9:36, NIV)

Naboth was unjustly dead to the wicked
in this world. But God gave Naboth, who feared God,
an eternal life of grace unmatched by
this world. also, Ahab and Jezebel,
who ignored God and continued to do
evil, were judged and brought to a disastrous end.
Today we must be a person who, like
Naboth, cares deeply into the teachings of sermons
and respects God's Word in all
temptations and difficulties.
so I hope that all of my friends will
please God.
