Title

1

Ask, Seek and Knock

2

[Matthew 7:11]

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

3

Have you heard of the Sermon on the Mount?

This means the same teaching as the treasure that Jesus told people on the mountain.

It is recorded in Matthew Chapters 5 through 7 in the words Jesus directly spoke

on the small mountain of Galilee.

4

In the Sermon on the Mount, many treasure-like words we hear and follow are recorded.

The story of the Beatitudes, Salt and Light we have heard about once, and the Lord's Prayer are the words that Jesus taught when he preached the Sermon on the Mount.

5

Today we will look at what Jesus taught us about prayer in the Sermon on the Mount.

As soon as we receive Jesus as our Savior, we are blessed to be children of God.

The greatest privilege for us as children of God is the surprise

that we can pray to God the Father.

6

Because of the original sin of Adam and Eve, the way man can communicate

with God has been completely cut off.

Every human being whose relationship with God has been broken

because of sin has been put to death.

7

There was hope for us in this miserable state.

God has sent His only Son to solve our sin problem.

Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross with all our sins on his back,

and was resurrected in three days, giving us a new way of connecting God and us!

8

Anyone who receives Jesus in his heart can call God the Father.

In the name of Jesus, there is a way to pray directly to God, the King of the universe.

9

Jesus said, ¡°If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.¡±

Those who believe in Jesus are those who pray to God for their needs and live by

what God has given them.

10

If anyone believes in God but does not pray, he may be a person who does not believe

in God or that God is unable to help him.

11

God is a good Father who always gives good things to His children.

Jesus said this. ¡°If there is a father with a loving child. The son asked his father for bread.

But will his father give him a stone instead of bread?¡±

12

¡°The child also asked his father for fish. But will he give his son a snake without giving fish?¡±

13

Even if he is the sinful and evil fathers of the flesh,

he tries to give good things to his beloved children.

How much more will your Father in heaven give you good things to those who ask him?

Jesus taught us to pray to God the Father.

14

Jesus taught us three attitudes to pray to our Heavenly Father.

The First said ¡®Ask¡¯

When we pray to God, our attitude must always ask for what we need with humility.

15

The second said 'Seek'

When we lose something important, we find what we lost with zeal.

When praying, we must actively seek God's will.

And then we must be able to act in accordance with God's will.

16

The third said ¡®Knock¡¯

If we pray to God, we must pray that God will respond with the best and not give up.

The word ¡°will be opened when we knock¡± means that if we persevere and persistently pray to God, we will surely give good answers.

17

God is surely our Father. God always warmly listens to our prayers as a father

and always gives us the best.

As a child of God, we are a great blessed person who enjoys the privilege of prayer.

Finally, let us recall the meaning of the word we have learned today and read all the words of

Matthew 7:7~8 together.

¡°Ask and it will be given to you;

seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds;

and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.¡±
