1

A tribulation that proves to be a Messiah

2

[Isaiah 53:5]

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

3

Jesus, the God, came to earth to save us, but people did not accept Jesus.

In particular, the high priests and scribes were watching the opportunity to kill Jesus.

4

Satan entered Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus' disciples.

Judas Iscariot visited the high priest and teachers of the law.

¡°How much can you give me if I let Jesus catch you?¡±

5

When they heard the words of Judas Iscariot, they were very pleased.

And they gave thirty pieces of silver to Judas Iscariot. Judas, who received the money,

devised a way to hand Jesus over to them.

6

Judas, who knew that Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane,

led the soldiers to go and catch Jesus. Judas Iscariot greeted Jesus with a kiss.

This was a signal to the military to let them know who Jesus is.

7

By the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, Jesus was taken to Caiaphas the high priest with no guilt,

and was judged illegally in the middle of the night. Caiaphas asked Jesus to make a sin,

¡°Are you the Christ, the Son of God?¡±

8

Jesus spoke of the question.

¡°You have said so,¡± Jesus replied.

¡°But I say to all of you, From now on you will see the Son of Man

sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.¡±

Jesus said that he is the Son of God.

9

The high priest who did not believe in Jesus as the Messiah tore his clothes and told people.

¡°This man blasphemed God. What do you think?¡± ¡°He deserves to die.¡±

Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him.

10

The next day they accused Jesus to Pilate, the governor.

People shouted at the words of the agitators.

¡°Hang him on the cross and kill him.¡±

Pilate was afraid that the Jewish people, who were shouting wildly,

would cause great uprisings.

11

In the end, Pilate allowed Jesus to be struck by a rod and then hanged on the cross.

Jesus was struck by the Roman soldiers.

Jesus suffered the pain of falling flesh on every part of His body that was hit by a whip.

12

Jesus directed the cross to Golgotha, the place of execution.

The soldiers crucified Jesus with both hands and feet. People say,

¡°If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross, and I will believe.¡±

They ridiculed and insulted Jesus.

13

Jesus died after suffering great suffering on the cross.

As Jesus died on the cross, the earth was shaken and the rocks split.

And the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom.

14

Jesus suffered no sin and died on the cross.

The Roman soldier pierced his side with a spear to make sure that Jesus died,

and he poured water and blood still left in his body.

15

Jesus' suffering and death on the cross prove that He is the Messiah sent by God.

This person has proved that he is the Savior who will save us.

16

700 years before Jesus came to this land, the prophet Isaiah already prophesied the Messiah.

The Isaiah, in which it is written, records what will happen to the coming Messiah.

Together, read together what is written in Isaiah.

¡°He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.

Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised,

and we held him in low esteem.¡± (Is 53:3)

17

¡°Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God,

stricken by him, and afflicted.¡±(Is 53:4)

18

¡°But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.¡±(Is 53:5)

19

¡°We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;

and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.¡±(Is 53:6)

20

Jesus, who has fulfilled the prophecy of the Bible,

has come directly to this earth as a human body to save us.

He took all our sins in order to free us from death and died on our behalf

on the cross to complete our salvation.

Anyone who has acknowledged Jesus' death on the cross for me and believes

in Jesus has opened the way for salvation.

Whenever we remember this grace of salvation,

let us also remember the suffering of Jesus and live a life of His word.
