Title

1

I will rise again

2

[John 2:19]

Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple,

and I will raise it again in three days."

[Matthew 12:39]

He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign!

But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

3

Today is the Easter Sunday when Jesus overcame death and rose again.

The resurrection of Jesus overcame the power of death and triumphed.

It is also an amazing event that shattered Satan's head.

4

Jesus came to earth as a human being like us.

He declared the gospel of the kingdom for three years before he died.

Jesus said He is the Son of God and Messiah.

5

Jesus foretold that he would die on the cross to save us.

And many times he prophesied that he would be raised again on the third day after his death. But nobody understood the word and did not believe it.

6

One day when the Passover, a great Jewish holiday, was approaching,

Jesus went up to the temple.

At that time, the courtyard of the temple became a huge marketplace

due to the people selling cows, sheep and doves,

and the money changers that change money.

7

Jesus a whip from some rope, and drove out all the animals,

including sheep and cattle, out of the temple courts.

And he overturned the table of the money changers.

He was greatly angry that the place to pray to God turned into a market place.

8

The Jews who were angry at Jesus' actions asked him about it. ¡°What right do you do this? What miracle will you prove that you are the one who can do this?¡±

9

Jesus said a shocking word.

¡°Tear down all this temple. I will set it up again in three days.¡±

The Jews were more excited to hear it.

¡°It took 46 years to build this temple,

and how you will build it again in three days.¡±

10

The temple that Jesus told them to destroy was meant to be crucified.

And to set it up again in three days prophesied

that he would be resurrected three days after he died.

11

While Jesus was in the earth, He did many miracles,

but the Pharisees and Sadducees did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

They asked Jesus to show them the greater evidence from heaven.

12

Jesus knew the evil heart that they would not believe in the sign,

and he answered them,

¡°An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign,

but no sign will be given to it except

the sign of the prophet Jonah.¡±

13

Jonah is one of the prophets of the Old Testament.

Jonah broke the word of God and fled to Tarshish, where he met a great storm.

Jonah told the sailors to throw himself into the sea to save others

because he knew

that the storm had blown because he had rebelled against the word of God.

14

When Jonah was thrown into the sea,

God prepared a great fish and saved Jonah.

Jonah repented of God in the fish for three full days.

On the third day God made a great fish to pour out Jonah on the seashore.

15

The testimony of Jonah that Jesus said was a prophecy about Jesus being dead

and being raised again in three days.

It means that Jesus died on the cross and rose again in three days

to complete salvation.

16

As Jesus prophesied, he died on the cross with our sins on his back,

and for three days

he was buried in the tomb as he prophesied,

and finally overcame death and resurrected.

By this, all the ministry of Jesus

who came to this earth by God¡¯s Messiah was completed.

His disciples also realized that everything

that Jesus prophesied was fulfilled after Jesus' resurrection.

17

The resurrection of Jesus is the core of Christian faith.

In 1 Corinthians 15:17, if Jesus had never been raised again,

our faith would be vanity and we would still be in sin.

Let us praise Jesus, who is resurrected according to the prophecy of the Bible,

and who is still alive and is our hope. Sunday is a day

when we celebrate together in commemoration of Jesus' resurrection.

Therefore, not only today as the Easter Sunday,

but also every worship service every Sunday,

I hope that all the friends who live as God's people by faith in Jesus' resurrection

and unwavering faith.
