One church in Jesus

2

[Ephesians 1:22-23]

And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him

to be head over everything for the church,

which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

3

What comes first when you think of the word church?

Most of you will think of the worship building.

But church does not mean building.

4

The Church means a group of people who receive Jesus and believe Him as the Savior.

We need to understand the church in relation to the 'invisible church' and the 'visible church'.

5

First, all the people who believe in Jesus belong to the 'invisible church'.

Everyone who is saved in Jesus Christ in any area or country belongs to this church.

6

In addition, this 'invisible church' does not belong only to those who are living in the present. All of the Saints who lived while serving God in our previous times belong to this church.

7

The second church to look at is the 'visible church' in our eyes.

The Saints on the earth serving Jesus as Lord set up worship places and regularly gather there

to worship God.

The church that people gather in this particular area and name and worship together

is the 'visible church'.

8

The Saints who believe in Jesus belong to this ¡®visible church¡¯.

Through this 'visible church' we learn the Word of God and the doctrine of salvation

and grow into a perfect saint.

9

Amazing secrets are hidden in visible churches.

It is true that even though they are far apart and worship in different buildings,

the masters of all churches are one and the same person.

Jesus, He is the head of the church.

10

Therefore, all the churches in this earth are the same churches and bodies as Jesus as Lord. The "holy congregation" we confess means the church united by the same faith toward the Trinity God in response to the call of the Jesus, God of Son.

11

The Bible shows the churches of the same faith communicating with one another.

The first visible church on earth was the Church of Jerusalem.

After the establishment of the Church of Jerusalem, several churches began to be established.

12

The apostle Paul went to various countries during his second evangelistic journey

and built several churches.

There were many saints in the early church suffering from severe poverty.

In the midst of affliction, however, the saints gladly served one another.

And they were living a life of faith in thanking God for salvation.

13

One day, the churches in the Macedonian region hear one news.

It was a great famine in Jerusalem that believers in the Church of Jerusalem were

in great difficulty.

14

Believers in the Macedonian churches heard about the situation of the Church of Jerusalem and were willing to help.

They sincerely made a donation to help the Church of Jerusalem.

They were poor, but they could not see the difficulties of the Church of Jerusalem

serving the same Jesus.

15

The Bible records the contributions they made to the Church of Jerusalem:

¡°In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty

welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able,

and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,¡±(2Co 8:2~3)

16

Not only churches in the Macedonian region, but also church members in the Agaya region donated for the Church of Jerusalem. The apostle Paul delivered the precious offerings

of the believers safely to the Church of Jerusalem. Because of the service of the churches

in other regions, the Church of Jerusalem has received great comfort and joy.

17

In Ephesians chapter 4, the church that became one in Jesus is expressed as follows.

Read it all together.

¡°Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.¡±(Eph 4:3)

18

¡°There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called¡±(Eph 4:4)

19

¡°one Lord, one faith, one baptism;¡±(Eph 4:5)

20

¡°one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.¡±(Eph 4:6)

21

All the earthly churches who take Jesus as their master and believe in the Trinity God

are one body.

Everyone who believes in Jesus is a brother, even though the church is different.

We want to be thankful to God who has called us to be God's people and who belongs

to the Church, and to all the friends of other churches and all the friends

who always live like God's people.
