Title

1

The God who changed Joseph's suffering to gratitude

2

[Genesis 45:5]

And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.

3

Joseph was indeed betrayed by his brothers.

Joseph's brothers sold him 20 shekels of silver and slaves to Egypt.

4

Joseph's brothers did evil actions that could never be forgiven.

Joseph was a life of slavery in Egypt because of his brothers

who hated him without any mistake.

5

But Joseph overcame his difficult times in Egypt by faith.

Though unjustly slaves, Joseph's faith in God has not changed.

He believed that there was also God there and lived according to the word of God.

6

Joseph did not lose faithfulness and honesty under all circumstances.

God saw Joseph, who lived right in faith, and loved him all the time.

Under any circumstance, God protected Joseph.

7

When Joseph was 30 years old, God gave him a miracle.

He added wisdom to Joseph to interpret Pharaoh's dreams.

Joseph prophesied seven years of famine after seven years of abundance in Egypt.

8

Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, appointed the wise Joseph,

who interpreted his dreams and prepared them, as prime minister.

He was brought to slavery unjustly and became a miracle man to be the prime minister of Egypt.

9

Joseph ruled Egypt well with God's wisdom.

He thoroughly prepared for the next seven years of famine during

the seven years of abundance.

He also built a large warehouse and saved the grain so that it could withstand even the famine.

10

And seven years later, according to Joseph's prophecy, there was a famine.

Egypt has abundant grain for the famine.

The neighboring nations that have not prepared for the famine have come

to Egypt to buy food.

11

Then one day there were brothers who sold Joseph as slaves among all the people who came to buy food.

Joseph's brothers did not recognize Joseph, the prime minister.

They could not have imagined that Joseph, whom they sold as slaves, became prime minister.

12

Joseph had the power to punish the evil actions of his brothers.

If Joseph commanded his army, he could punish his brothers.

13

But Joseph did not punish the brothers.

The reason is that his brothers did evil to himself,

but he realized that God had made him a prime minister by making it a chance.

Joseph knew that his gratitude to God for his grace was greater than the resentment of his brethren.

14

As Joseph forgives his brothers, there is a word about God's grace in his words.

"I am your brother Joseph. The very Joseph you sold into Egypt for slavery.

But do not worry now. Do not get hurt when you put me here.

God sent me to this place before you, and saved the lives of men."

Joseph confessed that God had changed his disgrace to gratitude.

15

Joseph brought his brothers and all his family to Egypt.

Joseph's father, Jacob, had a great joy when he met his son, whom he thought was dead.

They were very happy in the land of Goshen.

16

God gives the same grace to us as he did to Joseph.

If we face great difficulties, we must act in faith, liker Joseph.

It is difficult to endure like Joseph and act like Joseph when encountering difficult things.

Through Joseph, God showed that he had the ability to transform any difficulties

into gratitude.

17

The Bible clearly states what God's will is for those who are called to be children of God.

It is a command to believe and appreciate the goodness of God that can make you appreciate what happens.

"give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God¡¯s will for you in Christ Jesus. "(1Th 5:18)

I hope that you will obey this command and become the people

who experience the same miracles God has given to Joseph.
