A life that follows God's word

[Numbers
9:23]
At
the LORD'S command they encamped, and at the LORD'S command they set out. They
obeyed the LORD'S order, in accordance with his command through Moses.

We
always learn to live according to God's Word.
Today
we are going to learn what it is that we live according to the Word of God,
through
the Israelites who have lived in the wilderness of Exodus.
|
4
|
|
By the grace of God, the Israelites
who were liberated from the slave life of Egypt
for 430 years were passing through the
wilderness to go to Canaan.
God told Moses to make a tabernacle to
meet with the Israelites.
|
5
|
|
Moses
began to build a tabernacle that was not different from what God commanded.
The
representatives of the tabernacle were Bezalel and Oholiab.
They led the way in building the
tabernacle of God according to the guidance of Moses.
|
6
|
|
The
tabernacle was completed on the first day of the year when it came out of
Egypt.
On
the day when the tabernacle was set up and given to God,
a
cloud over the tabernacle was covered.
And in the evening, the cloud turned
into a pillar of fire and stayed on the tabernacle.

God appeared to Moses and spoke.
¡°Speak to the people of Israel to keep the Passover at the appointed time. When it is time
to keep the Passover,
it is about the sunset of 14th this
month. Keep it according to my rules.¡±

The
Passover is a celebration of God's release of the Israelites from Egypt.
Pharaoh
stubbornly refused to rebel against the Word of God and liberate the people
of Israel, but God made the last plague of all
the firstborn men and animals of Egypt to die.
|
9
|
|
In
the night all the firstborn men of Egypt and all the beasts were killed.
However,
according to the word of God, the people of Israel who kept the blood of the
lamb on
the doorpost were kept from harm.
On that day, Pharaoh sent out the
people of Israel, and God made it this day as the Passover.
|
10
|
|
Moses
made the Israelites observe the Passover as God had commanded them.
The people followed the instructions
of Moses and kept the Passover according to the rules God had ordained.
|
11
|
|
This
Passover was the second Passover of the people of Israel.
God saw the obedience of the
Israelites and led them through the cloud on the tabernacle.
|
12
|
|
God informed the people when the
people had to move, that the clouds on the tabernacle would rise to the air.
When they saw this, the Israelites prepared to move and moved as the cloud led them.
|
13
|
|
The
Israelites, who were marching along the clouds, stood together when the
clouds stopped.
They wanted to move further, but when
the clouds stopped,
they stopped there and camped there.
|
14
|
|
Sometimes
the clouds only stayed from the evening to the morning and then floated and
then went straight the next day.
When
the cloud stayed for a month, the people stayed for a month,
and when the cloud stayed for a year,
the people camped there for a year.
|
15
|
|
In
the vast wilderness, the Israelites lived by gazing at the God who led them
all.
They were able to live in a vast and
wild wilderness.
This is how God has led the Israelites
in the wilderness.
|
16
|
|
Through
Moses in the wilderness, God commanded the Israelites to keep the Passover.
And
he came into the tabernacle and led the way of the people of Israel through
the clouds.
Through today's Word, we can learn how
important life is to live in obedience to God's Word.
|
17
|
|
How
can we, today, become children of God and live according to God's command?
The
Bible, the Word of God, is like a cloud above us on the tabernacle.
God
carefully records in the Bible how we should live.
Therefore,
as a child of God, we must do our best to learn the Bible more than any other
book in the world.
Only when we correctly understand and
live the words of the Bible,
we can live a life that is led by God.
