1

Jesus, the Only Gate of Salvation

2

[John 10:9]

¡°I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out,

and find pasture¡±

3

Jesus came to this earth to save us. Anyone who accepts Jesus as the Messiah,

the Lord of salvation, has made it possible for anyone to be saved.

No one has ever seen Jesus in person, but everyone will be saved if they only believe in

Jesus as the Messiah with the faith given by the Holy Spirit.

4

However, there were people who did not believe in Jesus as the Messiah even when

they saw Jesus with their own eyes. Whenever Jesus had the opportunity,

he told them that he was the true Messiah. Today,

we will learn what Jesus said to the shepherds.

5

Jesus said to those who gathered.

¡°Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate,

but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.

The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.¡±

6

To understand this word, we need knowledge of the sheep cage at the time.

At the time, there was a cage made of wood to keep sheep in the village.

A gatekeeper kept the entrance to the sheep cage.

7

The gatekeeper opened the door when an approved shepherd came.

If someone other than the shepherd tried to enter, the gatekeeper was not allowed.

Only authorized shepherds could enter through the door.

8

What kind of people are trying to sneak into a sheep's cage through another place

without entering the door? They are people or robbers who are trying to steal sheep.

They will sneak in through other places to do bad for the sheep.

9

Jesus continued to talk about the relationship between the shepherd and the sheep.

¡°When the shepherd enters the sheep cage, he recognizes his sheep and leads them out.

The sheep also hear the shepherd's voice and follow him.

If the shepherd walks ahead, the sheep follow the shepherd.¡±

10

A good shepherd is a shepherd who loves sheep.

He guides the sheep correctly. Lead the sheep to the best grasses to meet their needs.

11

Through the parable of the sheep's cage, Jesus told us what He is like.

Through that parable, He told us that Jesus is the true Shepherd.

Jesus is the best shepherd who leads us in the best way and supplies us with everything we need.

12

Jesus continued the story of the sheep cage.

Jesus said he was the gate of the sheep.

[John 10:7] Therefore Jesus said again, ¡°Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.

13

Another type of sheep cage at the time was the way the shepherd kept the door.

In the case of a village in a deep mountain, it is said that a wall was made by stacking

sheep cages with stones. It is said that a part of the wall was opened and used as an entrance.

The entrance was guarded by the shepherd himself.

14

The shepherd made himself a door and only allowed his sheep to enter.

He guarded the sheep at the door to keep them from in danger.

The sheep that enter the sheep pen will be kept safe.

15

The reason why Jesus said he was the gate of the sheep is the same.

He was saying that no one can be saved except through Jesus.

And he, who is the gate of the sheep, said that the sheep under Jesus' protection would

eat good things.

[John 10:9] ¡°I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.

He will come in and go out, and find pasture¡±

16

Through a parable, Jesus clearly revealed that Jesus himself is the only door to salvation.

Jesus accurately stated that there is absolutely no way to be saved without Himself.

He is the gate of salvation, and he said that only those who believe in Jesus will enjoy

eternal happiness.

17

Jesus is the Messiah who came to this earth to save us.

Those who believe in this fact will receive salvation as a gift.

Those who are saved will receive the wonderful peace and grace that Jesus gives every day.

At the time of Jesus, there were many people who did not believe that they were the Messiah even when they heard this word directly from Jesus.

We shouldn't be like them.

Believe in Jesus, who is the true shepherd and the door of the sheep,

receives true salvation and lives with eternal happiness.
