Jesus Healing the Paralyzed Man Who Falled Through the Roof

2

[Luke 5:24]

But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.¡±

So he said to the paralyzed man, ¡°I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.¡±

3

The place where Jesus teaches the Word always overflowed with many people.

Today, Pharisees and legal scholars from far away also came and sat to see

what Jesus was doing.

4

Jesus gave power. The sick and sick were healed by Jesus.

The place where Jesus resided was overflowing with people and could not enter.

5

At that time, some people brought a person with a paralytic disease lying on the bed.

But there were so many people that there was no way to take this sick man to Jesus.

People started to struggle to bring this sick man to Jesus.

6

The method they chose was to lower this friend to the roof.

They climbed onto the roof. And they ripped off the roof of the house.

7

They hung a string on the bed and sent him down to Jesus as the patient lay down.

The patient can now be delivered to Jesus, who is preaching the Word.

They sent the paralytic patient down before Jesus as they wanted.

8

Jesus gladly received their earnest faith.

He spoke to a patient who had a stroke and was unable to move.

¡°Your sins have been forgiven.¡±

9

When he said this, the Pharisees and legal scholars who were there were shocked.

And they became furious and started to think inside.

'Who is this person who blasphemes God?' 'Who can forgive a man's sins besides God?'

10

They could not accept what Jesus, who is a man, does ¡°forgive sins¡± that only God,

who is God, can do. This is a dangerous saying that can be very upset through the Inquisition.

But Jesus already knew all the thoughts of the Pharisees and legal scholars.

11

Jesus asked them this question. ¡°Which words would be easier to say to this patient,

¡°Your sins are forgiven¡± or ¡°Wake up and walk¡±? ¡°Jesus told the patient to'stand up and walk,'

and he told the people that if he had only healed the disease, there would be no problem.

12

Jesus already knew that when he said, ¡°Receive forgiveness of sins,¡±

he would be misunderstood as blasphemy and that Jesus himself would be in trouble.

And he explained why he said this.

¡°But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.¡±

So he said to the man,¡±[Mark 2:10]

13

Jesus, who is God, came to this earth as a human body.

But he came with the power to forgive sins that only God can do.

He explained that he had told the patient to ¡°receive forgiveness of your sins,¡±

in order to inform the people gathered there.

14

After saying this, he spoke to the patient.

¡°I tell you, get up and take your bed and go home¡±

15

After the words of Jesus fell, a miracle happened.

A paralyzed man, lying down and unable to move, arose on the spot.

And after he got the bed he was lying on, he thanked Jesus and walked out in front of the

people gathered there.

16

Everyone who saw this sight couldn't believe their eyes.

They saw with their own eyes how powerful Jesus was.

They glorified God by saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"

17

Seeing the earnest faith of those who brought the paralytic, Jesus healed the sick.

Jesus, who has the power of forgiveness of sins, also forgives sins, which is more important than healing the body.

Jesus is the God who came to this earth to forgive our sins.

Jesus died on the cross for sinners to forgive human sins.

Anyone who believes in Jesus as the Messiah has given us the grace to receive forgiveness

of sins. Those who receive this grace are granted eternal life as a gift.

Receiving eternal life, we should be grateful for the grace of Jesus and strive to do

what pleases him.

18

The God who created the whole world is the One who has no impossible.

God has shown that he can defeat a large army by using the footsteps of four lepers.

The minister who doubted God's power faced a miserable end.

Those of us who have heard the word today must once again believe in the power of

Almighty God, who is impossible, and depend on Him.

Like the minister who spoke of unbelief, we should not doubt the power of God,

and have faith in God who faithfully cares for us in any situation.
