Saul Boldly Preached the Gospel

2

[Acts 9 : 25]

But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.

3

Saul hated those who believed in Jesus.

He left for Damascus with a letter from the high priest to

each synagogue to capture the believers in Damascus and bring them to Jerusalem.

4

Jesus appeared in a bright light to Saul on his way to Damascus.

Jesus, who had risen to heaven, appeared directly to Saul.

After meeting Jesus, Saul came to believe that Jesus is the true Messiah.

5

Saul, who went to Damascus to kill those who believed in Jesus, became a believer in Jesus.

After he arrived in Damascus, he began to witness to others the Jesus he had met.

He declared in the synagogue in Damascus, "Jesus is the Son of God."

6

When they saw Saul preach the gospel, people were amazed.

¡°Isn't this the one who randomly killed those who believed in Jesus in Jerusalem?¡±

A man who came to capture the believers in Jesus in Damascus and brought them to

Jerusalem suddenly was preaching Jesus, and this was a wonderful sight.

7

People said this and that about Saul and even doubted Saul.

Some did not believe that Saul believed in Jesus.

Regardless of how people misunderstood him,

Saul was more energetic and told him that Jesus was the true Messiah.

8

The Jews were the most surprised and perplexed to see Saul preaching Jesus as the Son of God.

They were expecting that when Saul, who received the letter from the high priest, came to Damascus, he would capture all those who believed in Jesus they hated.

9

They were upset just to see Saul testifying that "Jesus is the Son of God."

They were greatly upset by their betrayal of Saul.

There were many people who thought that Saul should not be left alone.

10

A few days after Saul's arrival in Damascus, the Jews met in secret.

They agreed to betray them and kill Saul, who testified of Jesus.

They decided to wait for Saul to exit the city gate and then kill him.

11

From that time on, they had been looking for an opportunity to capture Saul.

When Saul went out to the gate, he kept the gate day and night to catch him.

12

Fortunately, Saul also learned that the Jews were trying to kill him.

He must exit Damascus as quickly as possible to save his life. However, it was not easy for

him to escape from the eyes of those who guard the gates day and night.

13

Those with Saul found a way to send Saul out of the city without going through the city gate. Damascus Castle had a large hole in the wall.

They decided to send Saul down out of the city through that hole.

14

Finally, it was the day when Saul was decided to send Saul out of the city.

They put Saul into a big basket. Then they hung a thick string from the basket and sent Saul down out of the city. Finally, Saul was able to safely escape Damascus.

15

After leaving Damascus, Saul returned to Jerusalem.

He went to believers in Jesus and told them that Saul himself had come to believe in Jesus.

However, the believers did not believe that Saul had come to believe in Jesus and were rather afraid.

16

Among them, Barnabas believed Saul. Barnabas took Saul to the apostles.

Saul told the apostles in detail what he had experienced on the way to Damascus and what

he boldly preached the gospel in Damascus.

Upon hearing Saul's words, the apostles believed and accepted that Jesus made Saul the

person who preached the gospel.

17

From that day on, Saul boldly preached Jesus even in Jerusalem.

Previously, Saul thought of Jesus as an enemy and tried to kill those who believed in him.

But Jesus came directly to Saul and saved him.

Saul, who received the grace, was transformed into a different person than before.

He lived the life of an evangelist who boldly preached the Gospel no matter what difficulties he faced.

It should be remembered that we are people who have the same grace as Saul.

Jesus himself came to us who were enemies with God because of his sins and made us His children. We, like Saul, deserve to live a life of boldly witnessing to Jesus.

I hope to become people of faith who boldly do the work of telling the friends around me that Jesus is the Son of God.
