Descendants of Cain and Descendants of Seth
|
2
|
|
[Genesis 4 : 26]
Seth
also had a son, and he named him Enosh.
At
that time men began to call on the name of the LORD.
|
3
|
|
Adam
and Eve, the first human beings, broke God's command and ate the fruits of
good and evil.
God
cannot be with those who have sinned.
Because
of their sin, they could no longer be with God.
|
4
|
|
God
drove them out of the Paradise Garden of Eden.
After
being driven out of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve settled and lived in a
strange place.
The
children they gained in a difficult life were a great comfort and joy to
them.
The
first son he got was named 'Cain', and the second son was named 'Abel'.
|
5
|
|
As
a sacrifice to God, a terrible conflict arose between Cain and Abel.
Angry
that God only accepted Abel's sacrifice, Cain killed his brother Abel.
Cain
became mankind's first killer.
|
6
|
|
God inflicted the following punishment on
Cain who killed Abel:
¡°The earth opened its mouth and
took from your hand the blood of your younger brother
that you made to shed. Therefore,
you will now be cursed from the earth.
Even if you cultivate the land,
the land will no longer bear fruit for you.
You
will wander on the ground."
|
7
|
|
Cain, who killed Abel, was afraid that he
would one day be killed by someone.
God has created a law to prevent continued
murder.
¡°Anyone
who kills Cain will be punished seven times.¡±
|
8
|
|
After
that, Cain left God and lived in a place called Nod, east of Eden.
There
he built a castle for himself. And he called the castle 'Enoch'.
Enoch
was the name of Cain's first son.
|
9
|
|
Many
children began to emerge through Cain who left God.
Children
born through Cain, the first murderer, did not live right in the sight of
God.
Among
Cain's descendants, Lamech took on two wives, ¡°Adah¡± and ¡°Zilah¡±.
|
10
|
|
This
is a great mistake breaking God's law.
God
created the first family through a man Adam and a woman Eve.
God's
law is for a man and a woman to meet and form a family.
Lamech
became the first to break God's law and take two wives.
|
11
|
|
Lamech was also a cruel man.
He had a young man who made a mistake that
caused him small wounds.
Lamech
killed the young man brutally because he had hurt him.
|
12
|
|
Lamech was an evil man who paid hundreds of
times what he suffered.
Even
advocating God to justify his own murder, he made his own laws and told his
wives.
He
said, "He who kills Cain will be punished seven times as much,
but
he who kills me Lamech will be punished seventy-seven times."
|
13
|
|
Children born through Lamech's two wives
become ancestors of many cultures.
Jabal,
Adah's son, became an ancestor who lived in tents and worked on beating
animals.
Jabal's
younger brother Jubal became the ancestor of a man who played a harp and
performed a bullshit. Tubal-cain, born by Zilahs, became the ancestor of a
man who was good at handling copper and iron tools. He made sharp equipment.
|
14
|
|
However,
the diverse cultures they developed were only used to show their satisfaction
and strength. The culture that should be used as a tool to thank God and
serve Him has been used as a tool to indulge people in greed and pleasure. It
couldn't have expected any faith in God from them.
|
15
|
|
God
gave Adam and Eve a new child instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.
Eve
confessed, looking at the child he had given birth to:
¡°Because
Cain killed Abel, God gave him another baby in place of Abel.¡±
This
son's name is 'Seth'.
|
16
|
|
A
great work began through the family of Seth, which God gave for Abel.
From
the time of Seth's son Enosh, people began worshiping and praising Jehovah
God.
They
acknowledged the Almighty God and glorified Him with prayer and praise.
|
17
|
|
All of us who believe in Jesus and who are
children of God.
It is a descendant of Seth and Enos.
Therefore, we must live a life in which
worshiping in the name of Jehovah is of
paramount importance.
If we, who have to live this kind of life,
live like the descendants of Cain,
this is truly a great sin.
You should not neglect to worship for my pursuit of satisfaction and
pleasure.
Whatever
you do, you must strive to glorify God only.
At
that time, God helps you live a precious life on earth.
