Jesus is coming again

2

[2 Peter 3:10]

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.

The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

3

Jesus, who is God, came to this earth to save us.

When Jesus first came to earth, He came in the same flesh as ours.

4

It means that Jesus first came to this earth with a human body.

5

At the first coming, Jesus took on all our sins and died on the cross.

After Jesus died and was buried in his tomb, three days later, he broke the power of his death and rose again. He was the resurrected Jesus on this earth for 40 more days.

6

The first coming Jesus ascended to heaven again in front of the disciples.

The disciples stared blankly at the place where Jesus had disappeared.

Then an angel appeared and told his disciples a wonderful secret.

7

[Acts 1:11] ¡°Men of Galilee,¡± they said, ¡°why do you stand here looking into the sky?

This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven,

will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.¡±

The angels made it clear that Jesus would come back to this world.

8

The apostles, who had received the promise of Jesus' second coming, eagerly preached this fact.

The believers were overjoyed when they heard the news of the Second Coming of Jesus.

They had the strength to preach the words of Jesus and live by those words.

9

They thought that Jesus was coming soon.

However, as time passed, people began to doubt about the Second Coming of Jesus.

Apostle Peter wrote a letter to the believers who doubted the return of Jesus.

That letter is 2 Peter.

10

First, the Apostle Peter tells us that the time of Jesus as God is completely different from what

we think and feel.
[2 Peter 3:8] ¡°But do not forget this one thing, dear friends:

With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.¡°

We can never know the time of Jesus, who is God. God's time may be much slower than we think,

or it may be much faster than we think.

Therefore, we must always be ready to meet the Second Coming Jesus.

11

Jesus' promise to return will surely come true.

Jesus is not intentionally trying to come late.

God also wants us to quickly send Jesus back to take us to heaven.

12

However, there is an important reason why God sends Jesus late.

It is because God wants not one person to perish, but everyone to repent and return.

The Bible says that the reason Jesus is late is because God loves us.

13

Let's read it together.
[2 Peter 3:9] ¡°The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.

He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.¡°

14

Imagine if Jesus was coming today.

Then family and friends who do not yet believe in Jesus will be sadly unable to be saved.

They would say it would have been better if Jesus had come a little later.

God's delaying the second coming of Jesus is because of his love to present the kingdom of heaven to more people.

15

Nor should we ever think that the Lord will never come.

When the time set by God comes, even tomorrow, the Lord will return.

Just as you never know when a thief will break into your house,

the day of Jesus' second coming may come suddenly.

[2 Peter 3:10] ¡°But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.

The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire,

and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.¡±

16

When Jesus comes again, there will be a loud noise from heaven, and everything on the earth

will be melted with scorching fire, and everything on the earth will be burned up.

The day Jesus returns will be a day of great judgment for those who do not believe in Jesus.

17

However, we who believe in Jesus and are saved will enter the new heaven and new earth prepared by Jesus and begin eternal life. We will move on to a glorious place.

That is why we who have been saved must wait eagerly for the day when Jesus returns.

We must pray for Jesus to return soon.

18

Those who wait for the second coming of Jesus must turn away from sin.

He should strive to get to know Jesus more. If you have family and friends who do not yet believe in Jesus, you must preach the gospel diligently and lead them to be saved.

We must become people of faith who pray so that the gospel can be spread throughout the world so that the Lord can return quickly.
