But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Weakness is also a title of gratitude

2

[2 Corinthians 12:9]

¡°But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.¡±

3

God called the Apostle Paul to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. The apostle Paul honored God's will throughout his life and preached the gospel to the Gentiles. God gave the apostle Paul great power.

4

When the Apostle Paul preached in Lystra, there was a man who had a disability in his feet and had never walked before. The Apostle Paul said to the man, ¡°Stand up on your feet.¡± The man jumped up from the spot and a miracle happened.

5

When Paul was preaching in the Philippi region, a servant girl who had a demon followed him and harassed him. Paul said to the slave girl, ¡°In the name of her Jesus Christ, I command you to get out of her.¡±
Hearing Paul's words, a miracle occurred that the demon inside the slave girl immediately fled.

6

He had taught the Word of God for two years in Ephesus. Many people there came to believe in Jesus. Even there, Paul used God-given power to heal many sick people.

7

Some of the people there had a strange experience. They took Paul's handkerchief or apron and placed it on the body of the sick or demon-possessed. They just put Paul's handkerchief and apron on them, but the disease was healed and the demons were cast out.

8

Paul, who cast out demon-possessed people and healed other people with God-given power, had an unknown pain. Paul had a chronic illness. The Bible does not say exactly what the disease is.

9

Some scholars who have studied the Bible say it must have been epilepsy, a sudden loss of consciousness. Other scholars say that he must have suffered greatly from time to time due to an eye disease. We do not know exactly what it was, but Paul was suffering greatly from the disease.
The Apostle Paul even said that this was a thorn given by Satan.

10

Paul prayed earnestly to God to heal him. God, who had God-given power to heal others,
did not answer Paul's prayer.

11

When there was no answer from God, Paul once again prayed earnestly to God. He prayed with all his might to God to heal him from his illness. However, even after Paul's second prayer, God did not heal him.

12

Paul prayed to the third God. ¡°God, please remove this satanic thorn from my body.¡±
God answered Paul's third prayer.

13

God spoke to Paul. ¡°Your grace is sufficient for you.
Your power is made perfect by your weakness.¡±
God said that Paul had already given him abundant grace.

14

And God revealed the mystery of not answering Paul's prayer. These words, ¡°Your power may be made perfect in weakness,¡± indicates that the reason the great power of God was revealed to Paul was because of his weakness.

15

Paul hated himself because he was weak. So he wanted to cure the disease and become a strong man. So he prayed to God three times.
However, the power that was revealed to Paul made him realize that his weakness was because he relied on God alone.

16

Paul realized that God had given him strength because of his weakness. And he confessed.
¡°I boast more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.¡±
Paul realized that the weakness he wanted to get rid of had made him stronger, and he confessed that he was grateful and proud of it.

17

Everyone wants to get rid of the weakness they have.
If the weakness I have is something I do not need, if you pray to God, it will be removed. Please remember Paul when you pray and there is no answer from God.
You should try to have faith in God's power to strengthen you through your weaknesses.
You must realize that there is a reason why God has given you something weak,
and you must be a person of faith who can boast and be thankful for it.
