Living the Fruit of the Spirit

2

[Galatians 5:22-23]

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

3

We have been saved through faith in Jesus and become children of God. Those who become children of God will receive a new identification card. That is, the citizenship of heaven, which indicates that they have become heavenly citizens.
[But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,(Philippians 3:20)]

4

The moment we have heavenly citizenship, we must keep two important laws. First,
¡®Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.¡¯

The second, ¡®Love your neighbor as yourself.¡¯

5

However, we cannot keep these laws by our will. Even if you have a desire to love your neighbor, greed prevents you from putting that decision into practice. Even if we have a desire to do something that pleases God, the greed that has become a habit in our body prevents us from putting that decision into practice.

6

The members of the Galatia Church founded by Apostle Paul had the same problem.
In a letter to that church, Paul gave the secret to living according to God's Word.
[Galatians 5:16] ¡°So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.¡±
He said that those who follow the Holy Spirit can overcome the lusts of the flesh.

7

Before believing in Jesus, all people live according to the lusts and desires of the flesh that Satan wants. The lusts of the flesh lead people to do things that God hates. A person who is obsessed with the lusts of the flesh considers the most important thing to be fulfilling only his own selfishness.

8

A person who is possessed by the lust of the flesh fights with others because of that greed.
He is good at envy, anger, and tormenting opponents by splitting sides.
He enjoys getting drunk and does all kinds of lewd and wrong things.
He loves money more than God, and he creates a bad culture and bullies people.

9

For those who live according to the lusts of the flesh, ugly, unclean and undesirable fruits are produced. These are idolatry, fornication, uncleanness, contention, jealousy, envy, anger, drunkenness, division.
The sadder news is that those who live according to the lusts of the flesh cannot enter the kingdom of God. They will be judged for their wrongdoings by living according to the lusts of the flesh in the world.

10

Before we believed in Jesus, we were like those who lived according to the lusts of the flesh.
This is because the power of sin that tempts us to live according to the lusts of the flesh lives within us. However, the moment we believe in Jesus and become people who belong to Jesus, the lusts of the flesh can no longer have power.

11

This is because the moment a person believes in Jesus, the lusts of the flesh are also crucified.
When we are in the grace of Jesus, the lusts of the flesh can no longer dominate the children of God. Those who believe in Jesus become a new person who has crucified the lusts and desires of the flesh.

12

Those who believe in Jesus and become children of God will have a new way of life instead of the lusts of the flesh.

It is a life that the Holy Spirit rejoices in.

Following the path led by the Holy Spirit, you will live a life that is pleasing to the Holy Spirit.

13

The life of living according to the desires of the flesh and the life of living what the Holy Spirit desires cannot happen at the same time. Those who follow the lusts of the flesh cannot live the life the Holy Spirit desires. Conversely, those who live the life that the Holy Spirit desires cannot live according to the lusts of the flesh.

14

Beautiful fruits will be opened to those who live a life according to the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:22 tells us what kind of fruit we can bear if we live according to the Holy Spirit.
[But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.(Galatians 5:22-23)]

15

The Bible says that nine kinds of fruits of the Spirit are produced by those who live by the Spirit.
It is such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Anyone who lives according to the Holy Spirit can live by bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

16

Satan prevents us, who are children of God, from living according to the Holy Spirit.
It tempts them to live according to the lusts of the flesh. Children of God must be alert when the old habit of following the lusts of the flesh appears in their hearts.
We must quickly repent and return to a life of living according to the Holy Spirit.

17

Children of God are those who act according to the Holy Spirit. It is wrong to live according to the lusts of the flesh while claiming to be a child of God.
Whatever you do, you must first practice good faith habits to seek the help of the Holy Spirit.
You must only act according to what the Holy Spirit tells you to do in your heart.
I hope that you will bear many fruits of the Holy Spirit by living your life according to the Holy Spirit.
