Bible
verse : Matthew 28:5-7(NIV)
The angel said to the women, "Do not
be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He
is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he
lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and
is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told
you."

There was a prophecy that
Jesus prophesied to his disciples before he died on the cross. It was that he
would rise again on the third day after he died on the cross.
|
4
|
|
When Jesus
spoke, no one knew what he meant.
Also, none of his disciples believed that Jesus died
and rose again on the third day. Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins.
|
5
|
|
Joseph of
Arimathea buried Jesus in his own tomb.
Jesus'
body was wrapped in linen and placed deep in the tomb.
Seeing the death of Jesus, many people mourned.
|
6
|
|
And at
dawn on the third day, a very large earthquake occurred around the tomb where
Jesus was buried, and an angel came down from heaven.
The angel rolled away the large stone that covered
Jesus' tomb and sat on it.
|
7
|
|
Watching
this scene, the guards stood stiff on the spot.
They were
motionless, like dead people.
But they saw everything happening right in front of
them.
|
8
|
|
The angels
told the women who came to visit Jesus' tomb.
¡°Do not be
afraid!
I know you
are looking for Jesus crucified.
Jesus is
not here. Just as he said, he rose again.
And you go
quickly and tell the disciples:
¡°Jesus
rose again from the dead. And he went first to Galilee.
You will find Jesus there.¡¯¡±
|

|
|
When the
women heard this news, they left the tomb with both fear and joy.
Then Jesus
appeared in front of these women and said.
¡°Are you
at peace? Don't be afraid of me, you go and tell my brothers to go to
Galilee. They will see me there.¡±
Jesus was truly resurrected as He said.
|
10
|
|
The guards
who guarded the tomb also went to the chief priests to report what had
happened.
These
guards told them exactly what had happened at the tomb.
When the chief priests heard this, they were
astonished.
|
11
|
|
The chief
priests and elders hurriedly gathered together to discuss.
And they
made a very bad decision.
It was
decided to hide the fact that Jesus was resurrected from people.
|
12
|
|
They gave
a lot of money to the guards who saw Jesus risen. And they told the guards to
be silent.
¡°You must never tell what you saw, but tell the
people that the disciples came during the night and stole the body of Jesus.¡±
|
13
|
|
The chief
priests and elders did not believe even after receiving the report that Jesus
had risen.
Many Jews
believed only the lies told by these guards and believed that the body of
Jesus had been stolen by the disciples.
|
14
|
|
After
Jesus resurrected, as promised, he went to Galilee before his disciples.
The disciples went to the
mountain Jesus spoke of, saw him, and worshiped in front of him.
|
15
|
|
¡°God has
given me all authority in heaven and on earth.
Therefore,
you go and make disciples of all nations.
And you shall
baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Teach them to obey everything I have told you.
I will be
with you until the end of the world.¡±
Jesus gave his disciples great gifts and commands.
|
16
|
|
After
seeing the resurrection of Jesus, the disciples, who believed that Jesus was
the only savior, fulfilled the work of preaching the gospel to the whole
world by following the words of Jesus.
So, the gospel was passed on to us, and we too
received the amazing grace of believing in Jesus.
|

|
|
Dear my
friends!
Do you
believe that the resurrection of Jesus actually happened as recorded in the
Bible today?
If the
resurrection of Jesus is false, those who believe in Jesus will be more
pitiful and foolish than any other people in the world.
However,
we are people who firmly believe that the Lord's resurrection is a historical
fact.
On the last day, all those who believe in this fact
will be resurrected gloriously like Jesus and be with God.
