Our
Confession of Belief in Jesus Christ, the Holy Son of God
2

Bible verse : Philippians
2:11(NIV)
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

There are many great people in
this world who are highly regarded by people. Everyone has people they want
to be like. People read books or biographies written by people they respect
and want to be like and try to become like them.
4

However, there is no perfect
person in this world. No matter how great a person is, they all have mistakes
that are not revealed but are known only to themselves. In particular, the
Bible clearly states that there is not a single person who can say that he or
she is without sin in the eyes of God.
[for all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God,(Romans 3:23)]
5

The
reason is that all human beings have the weakness to sin due to original sin.
Among all the people living on this earth, there is no one who can be a
perfect example. We just don¡¯t know it, but everyone lives in sin before God.
6

There is only one person who has
never sinned and who has lived a life that is an eternal example. That person
is Jesus. There is only one person we should imitate. Jesus lived in a body
like ours, but he was sinless and never committed any sin.
He is the
only one who lived a perfect life without sin.

Philippians
2:5 tells us: [Your attitude should be
the same as that of Christ Jesus:(Philippians 2:5)] This means that we
should think like Jesus and act like Jesus when we do something.
8

Jesus was
originally a high God. However, in order to save us, he took on a body like
ours and came to this lowly earth.
Even
after coming to this earth, Jesus worked in a lowly place.
9

When Jesus was on this earth, the
people who gathered around him were poor and weak people who were not
recognized by the world. He was with tax collectors and lowly people who the
Jews of that time treated as sinners. Jesus even served his disciples humbly
like a servant, washing their feet with his own hands.
10

Jesus showed
us directly how we should obey the word of God. He did not hesitate to take
the cross, which was the path of death, in obedience to the word of God.
Jesus followed the word of God until he gave up his life and died on the cross.
11

Jesus went down to the lowest
grave of death to save us. But God raised Jesus up.
He broke the grave and
resurrected him, exalting him. He broke the power of death and resurrected
him, making death bow down. Jesus went down to the lowest level, but through
his resurrection, he became the victorious king who conquered death.
12

God did not
leave Jesus, who had humbled himself to the grave by obeying God's word to
the point of death, there. God restored him to his original position as God
by breaking the grave and making him victorious. God raised Jesus, who had
descended to the lowest place, to the same position as the highest God.
13

God gave
Jesus the most precious name. Jesus became the one who had the authority to
rule the universe. He became the one who had the authority to rule all the
churches on this earth.
He made the
name of Jesus the most excellent name in this world.
14

The angels and all the
saints in heaven bowed before Jesus, whom God had exalted. Everyone on earth
bowed before him. Not only that, but all things on this earth bowed before
Jesus, the Creator. God had exalted him so much that even those who had been
forsaken by God and Satan bowed before him.
15

God exalted Jesus in this way to
show that Jesus alone is the only Savior.
It is to make people all over the world confess with their own
mouths that Jesus alone is the true Messiah. By exalting the name of Jesus,
God declared that there is no other way to salvation apart from Jesus.
16

A
child of God is someone who believes and confesses Jesus as the only Messiah.
Jesus¡¯ humiliation to the point of death was to fulfill the purpose of saving
us. When we believe and confess Jesus as the Messiah, God is most pleased and
receives glory through our confession. [and
every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.(Philippians 2:11)]
17

We who
believe and confess Jesus as the Messiah have become children of God.
Children of God are exalted people who have already received heaven as a
gift.
We
must resemble the humble way Jesus lived when he lived on this earth.
We
must live a life of unity with other children of God and accomplish God¡¯s
will together. Whatever we do, we must not do it out of strife or vanity, but
rather strive to live a humble life where we exalt others above ourselves.
God
exalts and honors the humble.
